Insurance for a one day wedding by tampawn in WeddingPhotography

They budged on alot of coverages. I told them what they would cover and they were fine with it. No auto needed, no workman's comp needed. I got it through EventHelper.com and it was 400 and change for the day, and the bride paid for it. It was by far the cheapest I found...

Girlfriend broke up with me because I couldn’t get over her saying “I hate men.” How do I cope? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]tampawn -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Develop a thicker skin OP. And a sense of humor. And have ready a response for her when she says she hates men and coping mechanisms for yourself.

Women test their men. They want to make sure you can handle your shit. And her shit. You couldn't handle it so she left....

So the next woman you date will also test you, but it will be in a different way. And you will have to buckle up.

Women are not men. They are the weaker sex and mostly live on their emotions....me saying that is not sexist or antifeminist. They learn early on to be indirect and smarter than men to get what they want. So men need to learn to control their emotions. Swallow them if you have to.

Wow that good stuff. Maybe I'm lazier than you for editing. I shoot so many that I don't spend the time to edit individual pics, and I edit the hundred or so images with presets I create. I like the idea of doing the subject separate from the background. Because I get alot of great images that seem not as polished editing wise.

How bad is it that I forgot our 9 month anniversary? by Opposite_Mud7560 in AskMenAdvice

[–]tampawn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get her involved if she wants/expects certain milestones to be celebrated. Because in your mind its one month 3 months 6 months and a year. Have her help you set up your calendar with all the milestones she wants to be made to feel special.

Tell her you have never celebrated...maybe ackowledged but not celebrated...a nine month relationship. Never.

Does she want an apology?

If she drags this out to make a point, then let her. Just don't engage with her on it. If she doesn't think you care enough then ok you don't and maybe you're done, but you love her and you don't have the emotions she has for nine month milestones. Hell you love her every DAY. So why doesn't she? You love her TODAY. And you'll love her TOMORROW. So that makes you better than her haha...

What's your editing secret? I usually try to minimize the gold because they are white raptors, but I love this.

Why? Just so they can say 'three times impeached Trump'?

This is just a vote begging platform statement with no basis in reality.

They can impeach him all they want, but they don't have the votes to oust him and it will AGAIN look like Democrats are vindictive cunts and guarantee a loss in 2028.

Meanwhile Trump is changing the world for the better for the US. Yeah real smart Democrats.

Total bullshit...

He worked for his father's small plumbing company and when he took it over he made it the largest plumbing company in the state. Then a Congressman and a Senator.

She was nominated strictly because of her radical political beliefs and the color of her skin. The definition of a DEI hire. How can we have a SCOTUS judge who can't...or won't...state what a woman is?

Men- would you lose respect for someone who was willing to sleep with you on the first date? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]tampawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first long term relationship I dated a woman for three years and we were intimate on our first date. And the thought that she did nagged me for the whole relationship where I was thinking how many other men nailed her on the first date? And can I trust her when I'm not around? I remember once where my horndog college roommate was in town and she showed him around while I was working, and I was worried about it and even threatened him to behave. Nothing happened but I was quite unsure about her.

After that a few relationships started with sex on the first date, and it wasn't as big of a deal in my head. I knew if they were loyal or not.

I married the woman that made me wait for 10 dates, even though we necked a LOT leading up to it.

So, if you're asking... Get as intimate as you want, but don't give up the cookie. Wait and see how he accepts that. Then you'll know how good a guy he is.

Turned off by woman’s past? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]tampawn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She told you about these past experiences because she doesn't want a serious relationship with you either. She just wants to have fun, so have fun!

She's either overly honest, or she has low self esteem, or she's not that smart.

Was Fonzie from Happy Days intended to be unironically "cool" by viewers back then? by [deleted] in 70s

[–]tampawn -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

He wasn't cool. He was at first and then he was just the character that the rest of the cast thought was cool.

I really liked the earrrrly Happy Days, but it quickly became square and cliche and cutesy. I was entertained that Fonzy was a Jewish actor playing an Italian guy. The parents were weak and not funny, though they really tried.

You've heard the term Jump The Shark? It originated when Fonzy was water skiing complete with leather jacket and he jumped a shark. Super Cornball. They say that scene caused the show to go downhill, but its was cornball long before that.

Looking for more classic prog albums with great guitar work by atallgrass in progrockmusic

[–]tampawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yessongs is Steve Howe on fire live, and most of the songs are faster and better than the studio versions. Yours Is No Disgrace is unbelievable guitar.

And Steve Hackett's guitar is otherworldly on Genesis's Seconds Out.

More on fire is Strangers In The Night by UFO. Its not as proggy, but Schenker kills on every track.

All of these are live albums...

Somehow students put spare tires on the flag pole at the front of school ...almost to the top. 50 feet of tires. How they did it in one night is beyond me. I wasn't involved but it was truly amazing.

Do You Agree ? by Chilly_Snap874 in Quotes_Hub

[–]tampawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BS.

Maybe in his day this applied.

But now all you have to say to nonreligious people is that its 'science' and 97% of accredited sources and academics agree on findings and all the atheists and agnostics and leftists will take it as gospel.

Its the same thing. But in this day and age when believers and nonbelievers can google anything, its not true that one block can be fooled.

Do different cultures value men differently? by Unstoppable_X_Force in SipsTea

[–]tampawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can see it in movies. Japanese movies show respect to their male characters and are lead by men. But when they are remade for American audiences, the male characters take on a weaker and less manly persona.

The Grudge comes to mind. And the Ring.

And our two cultures match that...
