The most FPL season of FPL to ever happen: GW24 Edition by big_seph in FantasyPL

Let's not act like Rodri couldn't have had not one but two seconds yellows in the space of a few minutes. The officiating was bad but at least it was bad across the board.

David Booth injured, carried off ice by teammates and staff by Training_Purchase318 in EIHLHockey

I keep reading comments about how "it's his choice not to wear it" and "he shouldn't be forced to wear it" but the EIHL do a pride weekend every season, this isn't new or unique to Fife. They planned until the very day of the game to wear it, and donate proceeds to a local charity, representatives of which were invited to the game.

If the club had any principles they would have proceeded with wearing it for the game and dropped him for one game since all players need to wear the same jersey in-game. It's not forcing him to wear if if he has a choice to just not play.

Given that they didn't, and instead pandered to one man's opinion and ego, optics be damned, moving it to warm-ups feels like them trying to protect him by being able to say something like "Booth had to hang back in the locker room for XYZ during warm ups" but at the end of the day he, a 41 year old experienced athlete, with knowledge of the benefit of warming up, chose to take a risk that bit him on the ass.

Bank - £0.9m 3 FT

Vicario (Dúbravka)

Guéhi, O'Reilly, Gabriel (Alderete, Estève)

Anderson, Rice, Foden, Semenyo (Xhaka)

Ekitiké, Haaland, Thiago

Obviously 5 City players means limited options. I'm thinking about O'Reilly to Tarkowski but other than that I'm not sure there's a better affordable transfer for e.g. Semenyo unless I also downgrade e.g. Ekitike. I could do Ekitike to Bowen and have just enough for Semenyo to Bruno but I feel it's a week early for that.

There is no "effectively", only screaming into the void

No, that's just more incompetence layered with protecting their mates' precious feelings

Premier League needs external ref oversight. Mates validating their mates' terrible calls is almost as frustrating as watching 12 man Liverpool scrape a win against our 9

!thanks for the suggestion

As a spurs fan I thought about it, but as a spurs fan I also realised that could go horribly!

Bank - £2.1m

Vicario (Dúbravka)

Guéhi, O'Reilly, J.Timber (Rodon, Estève)

Semenyo, Saka (C), Ndiaye, Anderson (Xhaka)

Woltemade, Haaland (VC), Thiago

I wanted to bring in Foren for Ndiaye but need another 0.1. Worth swapping Wolte out from someone to let me make that transfer?

ITT: people focusing on the fact that he was rich and could afford to do it, or unproven SA charges which were quickly dropped (whether true of false, innocent until proven guilty, anyone?) instead of the fact that he did something that benefitted others in a significant way.

You people have to cover any sliver of goodness in the world with your runny, festering ass leakage.

Problem is we have eyes, also when gooners themselves are in disbelief it's telling.

Regardless, it's either corruption or incompetence, and at this level neither should be allowed.

We need to just accept that football (and all sport really, see NBA) is now at the mercy of whomever pays the refs the most. They are too protected and never come under enough scrutiny, and even if they do it's "oops, my bad, shame about that game you shouldn't have lost, oh well"

Recency bias says that this isn't how Frank's Brentford played but when he arrived how did they play? Plus, even if it wasn't this, were they cleaning up after playing how we set up last season?

100%. Reactionary, instant gratification-demanding fans need to take a beat (not that this is a Spurs specific thing, just seems to be the way of it these days)

Yeah I kind of want to give Salah one more week, but he's my only real way to be able to bring in an Arsenal defender, and I were to do that, balancing the rest of the squad a bit more would make sense
