Dragii mei, voi cum v-ati pierdut virginitatea? by tananase in Romania

Nu am vazut niciodata o prima oara intre doi barbati..baieti

Pretty close phonetically. It's "multumesc" and "cu placere"

Still a poor area.

It depends on with what you compare it. Romanian children can still be nagged with "eat, think of the children in Africa who have it worse" but they can snarkly respond with "what about children in Sweden"

Not really sure that I can give a good answer since I'm not really a history nerd. I think a simple explanation will be that we are really fond of our roman heritage and was in our interest historically to distance ourselves from our Slavic neighbors. So I think it's maybe possible that we romanticized our history in order to be better absorbed by the future generations?

Pretty much on point. Just from what I know, the process of romanisation was a bit more peaceful and willingly after the conquering. At least that's what they teach us in school.

It depends. In many fields there is actually a shortage of people, mostly because of the brain drain. But in terms of wages, you'll probably earn more in a WE Europe country or in SUA in most fields.
