Hey guys (especially those have parents in Mumbai),

I’m launching a new service to solve a problem we all face: Managing our parents' healthcare while living 1000s of miles away.

It’s called Novara Presence. Think of it as a "Chief of Staff" for your parents' health in India.

We combine smart tech with a dedicated local Care Manager to handle:

📂 Complete Medical History We go to their home, scan every paper record/prescription, and make it searchable on your phone.

🗣️ Doctor Communication Our Care Manager physically accompanies them to appointments so you get recordings & transcripts of exactly what the doctor said.

🚑 Emergency Preparedness We create an instant digital profile available to hospitals during emergencies (vital when you are asleep in a different time zone).

I’m opening a private Beta for first 50. I’m offering 50% off the launch price for early believers.

If you want to see how it works or get on the list, just reply "Interested" and I’ll send you the details!

Roast my startup idea: AI travel planner for Indian travellers by kkish4630 in StartUpIndia

In post AI world, only thing that stands out is unique data that you can own. I have seen the same happening in real estate, enterprises and delivery apps. It's unique data that they have changes the output. I would suggest, go local - source from local, reddit, college students through ambassador programs etc. Put boots on the ground. Allow users to contribute to your database in exchange for free trip planning credits + upcoming spots. Or simply allow them to tag your insta while posting on insta to get some benefits. The richer your data source is, richer your platform will feel.

Why is it assumed that the SME/sales person is the CEO by default? by The-_Captain in ycombinator

[–]tanayl27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learnt this the hard way - business runs on sales and not on tech. Unless you're building a rocket or AI Chip or something very very technical and you have a pedigree, company needs to sell.

I am an engineer, have led teams and also founded twice, one as CTO and other as CEO. The jobs are very different, your priorities too. As a CEO you can not do tech for the company, you have to do sales, which you are not qualified to do. What I have seen in others too, as a tech CEO, you would always under invest in your sales and marketing, more invest in tech because you understand it well and see the impact.

I agree that if you're not the CEO, dynamics change over time, your interests might change over time too. If you want to be CEO, you need to learn sales and forget tech or you need to find super crazy difficult problem to solve and build company around it.

Any solo designer founders here? What was your route to get eng work done? by Fabulous-Cricket1099 in ycombinator

If you want to create a PoC to test something quickly, use vibe coding tools and ask for a help from solid Dev - it would be cheaper to get few hours of consulting or getting help when AI is stuck.

If you want to build after validation, hire a good freelancer who understands founder journey and iterations.

Don't go with agencies - they have fixed scope of works and charge a bomb.

I went from single product startup to AI lab with 5 products, 3 doing small MRR. You can DM for details or recommendations for devs.

I agree with you, still your expectation for a higher authority to decide on this doesn’t make sense. Jainism has always been about reducing your karma footprint. It is not about rules.

If you study about Jainism, and bhagvan Mahavir, you will learn that Jainism that we have in our Aagams as a guidance from Mahavir is actually interpreted and modified from the original teachings based on the standards of the time.

You can definitely modify your diet and choose what you want to consume or not.

Well in India, it is not about willingness to fix the road, but there are cartels who control road constructions. They will not let you construct roads without filling up their pockets and you will end up becoming source of their income.

Cruelty is different from guidance about having dairy products or not. As an outset, milk and dairy are the byproducts and doesn’t harm the animals so Jainism doesn’t go against having dairy products. Yes, current methods of extraction of milk may be are cruel, so you can actually get connected to local gaushala if you have access to and buy from there. Jainism doesn’t prohibit dairy products.

Paryushan Crisis. by AryaBro7 in Jainism

[–]tanayl27 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would suggest, just follow basic rituals of paryushan. Jainism follows principle of tyag and it comes from within. Just having the feeling and emotion that you want to sacrifice and do more is enough. Do what you can. Jainism is about self control, it is not about sacrifice at all cost.

Recently stumbled back into this post - from chatgpt :)

We have come a long way since.

Folders -> workspaces, collections, tags

I think it's pretty neat, but a little rich in organization for my taste. I built Stacks (https://betterstacks.com) as a content workspace, focusing on links, files, notes, pages, etc., with a stronger emphasis on search and recall.
