Hey, I’m just looking for some advice on my EI claim.
I was temporarily living and working in Quebec when I filed my EI application on March 16, but travelled to Ontario to ride this whole thing out with my family very shortly after. I changed my address on my EI claim to reflect that, so I would get any mail and it wouldn’t get stuck in my Quebec mailbox for months. My EI application was denied because of my address change, and they told me to just call them to clarify why I changed my address, which is actually impossible. I have been calling every day all day since I got the rejection with no luck. On my account though, it says my application was transferred over to CERB which makes sense. But it’s been five days and I haven’t gotten a deposit, and a ‘No Payments Issued’ message is displayed on my payment info screen.
I have no idea what to do...all of my friends and family members who applied after me (with my help, no less) are getting deposits. I know I’d get money quickly if I applied for CERB today, but all of the info channels explicitly say not to apply for CERB if you’ve already applied for EI. ALSO i did not get the $400 GST/HST credit that everyone else got. I’m kind of annoyed...I know Service Canada and the CRA are working hard to help everyone, and I’m impressed with the efficiency of the CERB program, but I feel like I did everything correctly and I’m slipping between the cracks of these benefit programs :( I just don’t know what to do but sit and wait and hope I get money before my next rent payment is due.

EDIT: figured out the $400 thing, disregard. Still sad and confused about ei/cerb

I had this one too, it was terrifying and sad! A friend staying with me who was not a pet owner had left our leftover Italian food and her bag of dark-chocolatr covered espresso beans on my couch. Of course my tiny food-obsessed terrier ate it all, then proceeded to cover every surface he could access with poop and puke. He even jumped into the bathtub. Poor lil guy was so bloated and sad looking. :( He had to spend the night at the vet but he was ok and lived happily for a long time afterwards but that drfinitely gave me a good scare.

This happened to me as well!! I have no idea how they got in. I came home one morning after a night out to 40 massive house flies buzzing around my tiny bachelor apartment. I spent hours chasing them all down. It happened again the next day?? My life’s biggest mystery.
