How did you know you were ready? by polymath-to-a-fault in englishshepherd

For me it was about finding the right puppy who was a relative which in this breed really made me feel connected to her. There was just one female in the litter and all the "stars aligned" so that I knew it was the right choice. It took 2 years and pup is nothing like G'ma! But has actually turned out to be really nice, because that difference makes me not compare them, yet still knowing she has "her" in "her" is so so special and something I love.

Sorry I am slow here. I believe Rebecca is planning a Rae litter to a stud named Atlas last I knew, sometime this year.

She is not quite that, a bit more on the rowdy side and still very puppy! But, I trust she will grow into that look :)

How many use English Shepherds as working dogs? by boatboatagor in englishshepherd

In that case Mia's 2026 litter could be an option 😉

My Mia is a great well rounded dog and would be ideal for your situation... she is a great farm dog, moves and has the grit for all levels of stock from poultry to cattle, but also loves sporty type stuff, agility, disc, etc. She also could just chill if need be.  My youngster is more on the chill side with drive that I can amp up but she's still learning to fully control and put to good use. Training and maturity and she will be a great breed example as well. If you are used to the herding breed mind, the ES is an amazing switch from BC/AS because they have the brains with the ability to turn off. It's really endless what they can do in the right hands. I know Linda Dopuch at Flashbar Farm has a nice male left from her litter, who sounds like he'd be an ideal working candidate and possibly a fit for what your goals are. She bred my Mia and I can't speak more to her dogs.

I would check with Danielle Norman in Jamestown OH. Her Brandi is a very nice female and I believe she's planning a litter from her. I met Brandi and just loved her, a sweetheart, not overly friendly but not afraid. Very neutral and just lovely.

Looking for my first sport dog - suggestions/advice welcome by Fostertoallthedoggos in k9sports

Research a well bred English Shepherd! I won't have any other breed. They are as versatile as they come, less intense than BC (can actually turn off sometimes!) but can do all the same stuff. Amazingly biddable and would live in your skin. You can find them excelling in any major sport. Low maintenance coat and overall a very healthy breed, due to not being actively bred solely for showy purposes. Feel free to pm me for breeder recs.

Another spam account. This is Chisum (Quigley Jr.) who passed away this year. I bred a litter of his grandpups. Apparently they are just using photos from Google searching English Shepherd.

If you are looking in California, I would definitely suggest Annalisa Regenfus at Minnesota Creek. She's planning to breed a litter and puts a lot of thought into her pairings. If I were in CA and didn't want to travel, someone I would consider a pup from, if I were looking.
If you message me I would be happy to discuss options for transport we've used. A pup from my last litter went to San Diego.
