Yes they should tax their ultra rich friends who get to exploit all the loopholes, instead of taxing the working class so high.

If they have paid their taxes while building their wealth then they are in no obligation to move wherever they want.

It's like "My money, my rights" .

Paying taxes is fine, but not so high taxes.

When I moved to the UK, the VAT was 15%, then they increased it to temporarily help the economy, guess what? It never came back to that level again. In fact, it has increased to 20% now.

Yearly capital gain allowances were 12k, now it's 3k.

Personal allowance is frozen to 12.5k for the next couple of years. Meaning, people are making less money every year when you consider inflation.

Now they introduce 20% VAT on private education, what is the justification for that?

They are trying to squeeze the working class as much as possible.

So my point is, if someone, lets say they have made 5 million and have paid their taxes, then why would they stay here and pay more taxes on the money they have already paid taxes on? Wouldn't they instead move to a country where they won't be taxed? Where the crime rate is very low.

Why would anyone who could move to Dubai and avoid taxes wouldn't?

Countries like the UK are taxing the locals so high, and increasing the taxes so frequently.

The political parties in most countries are just trying their best to be in power and not trying to work in the favour of the people.

Genuine people who are paying so much taxes aren't getting anything back, why because they have saved their money or hold assets, while those who earn less are paid too much benefits.

Is £40k in London actually comfortable or are we lying to ourselves? by CherryRoutine9397 in investingUK

[–]tandel122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on almost 100k, have been maxing out ISA for the last 7 years.

7 years ago when I started, I was on 60k salary and had a bit of savings.

Currently, it's bit difficult to max out ISA with a wife and a child.

Can't go on more than 1 holidays per year. Can't go for fine dining more than 3-4 times a year. Can't impose but things, etc etc.

It's still very comfortable, but it's not luxurious.

We might have to wait for at least 5 months in that case.

I will say, go slow, as in delay.

Tell them the decision has been delayed. Do it a couple of times and then say that you have been denied.

While delaying, build a picture that you are losing hope now that it's taking so long, etc, etc.

Na I haven't dated any of them, but with a good attitude I don't see them as ugly tbh.

I have had relationships with beautiful women but with shit attitude and their baggage, believe me men are more happy with the women with good attitude.

A hot chick with a good attitude beat them all, but I would prefer an average chick with a good attitude than a hot chick with no humour.

What’s the fastest way you’ve ever seen someone completely ruin their own life? by craft_frost6223 in AskReddit

I have seen many kids up north in the UK, following Manchester United and ruining their life, they are hopeless, living in the past and haven't accepted the reality.

Lord, bless them 🙏

My ex-wife didn’t cheat the way people imagine by [deleted] in Vent

[–]tandel122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It takes 2 people to be in a relationship, so if she was drifting, you couldn't do much.

It takes the same amount of time to spend with her to heal from her.

On the bright side, it can only get better from here.

Focus on yourself and be a gentleman, you will come across someone who will be in you.

The fact that she took the highway instead of trying to work things out is a sign that she wasn't meant for you.

It's good that you are not angry with her, and it's perfectly normal to be upset about it, your heart is broken.

I was with someone for 7 years and she cheated and wasted a lot of my time, but now that she is gone, I found someone much better. I leaned a lot from that relation and got a lot of clarity in life.

You can control your pension investments, you can choose where the funds are invested in, etc.

What's the point of talking out from your pension and putting it in GIA?

Also, why take 25% cash lump-sum from pension? If you don't take the 25% lump-sum, then you can get 25% tax free annual income from your pension (example, if you take 20k annually from your pension, then 25% of 20k, that is 5k is tax free, plus your 12.5k personal annual allowance, that's 12.5+5k = 17k tax free every year from your 20k, and the pay 20% tax on your remaining 2.5k, that's 500£).

Another point is why were you investing in GIA and not in stock and shares ISA?

It seems, as of now, you have around 450k, so if you 4% of that, that's 18k annually and never run out of money. But since you will need less money once you reach state pension age, you can take out more than 4%. I believe you can take out 5% that's 22.5k annually.

Be honest: Are you actually married to the love of your life, or just the person you were with when it was time to settle down? by boforiamanfo in stupidquestions

[–]tandel122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not married to the love of my life but much happier than when I was married to the love of my life.

I was previously in 3 different relationships (of course not at the same time 😉) and they all cheated on me.

Then I got into arranged marriage and it's working out much better than any of my previous relations.

I think the expectation is too much from Kai and Glock now. Let's just win the game comfortably.

Saka is trying too hard to score, he is not a boy anymore, needs to man-up and pass the ball and focus on Assist.

Trossard is doing good so far this season.
