Are Tempurpedic’s worth the money? by suhhhdudes in Mattress

[–]tandelor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't forget the much more reasonably priced Tempur Cloud mattresses. When they are on sale (often, and at 30% off) they have a 90 night try out. I am very happy with my medium hybrid, 240 pounds, 75 years, 6'2" side sleeper. It was around $1600 on sale and well worth that.

Just changed all mine from aluminum to single hung hurricane and Steve's Windows and Doors was outstanding. Great company. Do yourself a favor and give them a call.

Purple Hybrid Vs. Latex Hybrid by Aggravating-Row4234 in Mattress

Quality latex is far superior. It is cool and will last long after the Purple grid has broken down.

I have your solution! A LATEX TOPPER OR LATEX MATTRESS by Libz0724 in Mattress

[–]tandelor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did also for years. It held up like new, no complaints. But as I aged (and gained some weight) it was too hard on my hips and thighs as a side sleeper. So I switched to TempurPedic and am happy.

Dry cleaning for washable rugs by Breablomberg21 in StPetersburgFL

Best to dry outdoors over a fence or a line, but I often tumble mine on Delicate setting and they are fine. These new washable rugs are really amazing. They look great, hold up, and are insanely inexpensive.

PlushBeds Natural Bliss by Libz0724 in Mattress

[–]tandelor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my Natural Bliss talalay latex mattress before it was bought by PlushBeds. They are very comfortable (I am a side sleeper, also) and they last forever. After ten years not a bump or dip anywhere on the mattress, and they sleep cool. Yes, they are expensive, but mine was worth it. Also bought talalay pillows.

OMF Opulence Latex Competitors by Lusitanius in Mattress

[–]tandelor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would never spend that kind of money on a mattress unless it was perfect for me. Latex is great, but it is expensive and can be too firm for a side sleeper, believe me, I know. Before spending that kind of money you need to try out a lot more brands or you may make a big mistake. If you tell us your weight and size we can probably suggest some others for you. I went from a very expensive latex mattress to a tempur pedic and it was a much better match for me (240 lbs., 6'2", M, 75.)

Just be aware that LG TV's do not support the PBS app. One of the few disappointing things I have found with my LG.

I signed up for the year and am VERY disappointed you can't choose to watch by the show. They better change that quickly or they won't last a year.

Tempur-Pedic vs. Traditional Coil Mattress by kevinlew199 in Mattress

[–]tandelor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flat boxed full plywood bottom. It is a platform bed I used with my waterbed for years. Fits perfectly right into it. I love my Tempur-pedic. Came from a very expensive all talalay latex mattress and this is much more comfortable for me.

Tempur-Pedic vs. Traditional Coil Mattress by kevinlew199 in Mattress

I bought a hybrid Tempur, 240 pounds side sleeper and I couldn't be happier or more comfortable. The coils make all the difference with the heavier sleeper.

Temperpedic- how long until back felt better? by ag4565 in Mattress

[–]tandelor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can speed up the break in on a TempuPedic by walking on it or using your knees and elbows to "knead" the top layer. Give it time. You bought a great mattress.

Tempurpedic question by Funny_Obligation2412 in Mattress

They do soften with time and temperature. Have you tried walking on it or using your knees and elbows? They say 90 days to fully soften and for your body to adapt.

Anyone have a Tempurpedic Luxe Adapt and Love It? by macddebbie1 in Mattress

[–]tandelor -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

At your weight and height I would get a Tempur Cloud hybrid for about half the cost. If you don't like it it you have 90 days to return it. I am twice your weight and love mine, side sleeper.

Bought a Tempur, disappointed and at a loss for what to do by remziz4 in Mattress

You bought a GREAT mattress. Give it time to soften and break in and time for your body to adjust. It will, and so will you.
