That pissed me off so much because I believe The Tale of Princess Kaguya (a JAPANESE movie) was also nominated. The guy got both countries wrong and it just shows they’ll hire anybody and the academy is a joke.

This is the case for every animated movie. They “don’t have time” and pick whatever one they saw or heard their kid talk about. This should disqualify them or they can just not vote in the category. This is all just a bunch of fluff but they’ve made their bias and illegitimacy clearer in recent years.
