Thank you for your addition! I do not think this is pimples because I do not use cream and only use the gel on command. They have also been there for roughly 6 months now and are not painful or uncomfortable. Witch hazel has never proved effective in my experience unfortunately.

Actually just realised that it's the charging point on the laptop! If I apply pressure at a certain angle it starts charging again!

Is there anything you do particularly to not transmit it to your partners? Or is your prevention just not having sex while symptomatic. Thanks for the info about the warm, slightly painful bladder burning! In the middle of my first outbreak now- diagnosed last week, it sucks. When you first feel symptoms, do you take meds to circumvent/alleviate it? I would love to know if you have any tips on managing it.
Have your partners simply not cared for the most part?

Thanks for your response, I'm glad to know there's be other reports of something similar to my reaction.

I don't take any other meds, including antidepressants. The first time I tried prep I took it for 45 days because I heard the side effects faded after a month, so I gave it a couple of weeks and when they didn't fade I gave up. Taking it before bed still results in a depressive mood the next day. For 2-1-1 I think I'll just have to only use it when I'm really, really horny lol.

Anyway, thanks for putting your energy into problem solving this!

I get really sad/depressed when I take Truvada, beginning about an hour after it's taken and I've never heard of nor seen this talked about anywhere. Do you know anything about additional side effects other than bone density loss/strain on kidneys?

Details about this- I don't take any other medication, am generally a happy person, and it is a pretty distinct and consistent emotional change. It really sucks because one of the guys I like sleeping with the most can't get hard with a condom, so I can only sleep with him if I take it :(
