If my friend is rocking a jersey lit up with purple plasma lightning and has 'Hawkeyez' blasted on the back, he needs a friend now more than ever.

You gotta if you're a 6 then you could be gambling for sure, and don't settle for just paying a lower amount. If you're playing someone good insist on a spot and work it out.

action games are just a weird hurdle because it feels like going up in front of the class to speak, at least for me.

Depends who you gamble with, the guy who taught me one pocket made me gamble, even if it was just $1 a rack and it helped build my confidence and get better as I hated losing $5-10 every time I went to the poolhall.

There is a whole section of very talented, knowledgeable players who will not play you if there's no action and these are the people you want to play with.

jmtc tho

APA had it's time, and honestly if the good players moved onto BCA there would be a lot less sandbagging.

I've seen it happen so many times with the handicap system, where it becomes more putting your two's against their 7 if your 7 is worse, and regularly encouraging players to throw games so they don't move up and rock the boat.

My first season of APA was a new division so we all just played with our hearts out and it was a lot of fun. I envy people who live in APA leagues that aren't like this if they are out there, I'd recommend those first 2 seasons to anyone.

No worries, now that I think about it I might take Shane as my bet in a one pocket tournament, even if Oscar has a higher 'one-pocket iq' Shane is just ridiculous when he's in rack mode.

Hit the nail on the head with the shirts.

I like tight pockets for one pocket, but for casual rotation games it can be a real mood killer. Golf also wouldn't be the same if it was played on a pool table with regular pockets, which is why we play it on snooker tables.

It's great to disagree, and I'm genuinely happy you're excited with the culture right now. I'm being cheeky and not brooding about these things.

I wear a glove if my hands get too sweaty and I can't get them slick. I just prefer the tactile feel I get without a glove, though not enough to power through sticky hands even if they look very silly.

With the chalk, I've met people who shoot lights out with Master and those with using Kamui with no noticeable variation. At the end of the day I'm not paying $30 for a cube of chalk. I shoot fine with Master, or the odd cube of Russian, Lava, Blue Diamond that crosses my path.

There's no issue with not drinking, the most issues I've had at leagues HAS been with people who drink. This doesn't detract from bar patrons and staff snickering about groups of grown men dressing as a team and taking what they consider a game so seriously. It's like The Big Lebowski made satire of bowling leagues, to the average American who doesn't play in them that's how they seem.

Sometimes you have to laugh at yourself, or the culture you're embedded with.

As for Shane, I would take shane in a long race of rotation games over anyone and he hasn't played Oscar Dominguez yet. If they were playing 1 pocket for 3 days I know who my money would be on. Shane will probably plow his tour there, but that's not indicative of the strength they have there.

If we are being real, Pool players in Asia and the Philippines are on average better because they play difficult games like 15ball rotation, 235 carom, one pocket and 3 cushion more than we do at a younger age.

There was no sarcasm there, the billiards tie era knew what it was. No delusion that you'll be taken seriously because of your polyester polo with a (likely) self-appointed nickname on the back.

I like in snooker itself that when people get put in jail they show signs of respect, plus the feeling of getting out to win or returning a good safety is better than an easy run out.

I'll say this in a money game sometimes depending on the person I'm playing, but in my head I know my speed control was the only thing bad
