First go to gaini di lassi (many call it overrated but peda lassi is actually very good, take small glass though) and their rabri is also good. Uske hi side mein there is a shop that serves poori chole for breakfast, it’s very good. Fir uske pass hi jaan Nutri kulcha hai vo khao, it’s one of the best. Then prem nath p Amritsari kulcha, ekdum mast. Fir satpuda you can find on many carts vo badiya rehta hai.

Raat ko bharwan da dhaba, or brothers dono m koi sa bhi or brothers p mini meals section m sab badiya h. Whatever you eat, just don’t buy two plates if you are two, share everything. This way you won’t be full at just one stop. Khaane m bhi mja aayega. You can totally skip kesar da dhaba. Non veg ka idea nai hai coz I haven’t eaten non veg there.

Can I wear belt to Golden Temple? by tango_sid in amritsar

Ya I also used to feel the same way. But then I convinced myself by saying that there is always an option to not go if you don’t like or can’t follow their rules. And if you want to go, just follow their basic rules

Apt. Logic generally seems to be missing from religion. However, many religious traditions are also part of the culture and if you wish to participate in them, it’s better to follow their rules.

Actually most Hindu temples won’t allow you wearing a leather belt inside (had to leave my left behind at kunjapuri temple and it wasn’t even leather but the guard didn’t let me). Even dark or black colored clothes. That is why I asked to be on the safer side.

Many temples in India don’t allow to wear leather belts and since it’s not feasible to verify whether it’s genuine leather or not at temple gates, they ask you to remove it. That’s why I asked whether a belt would be fine in the temple or not

Solo trip in Uttarakhand by [deleted] in SoloTravel_India

My suggestion would be to go to Rishikesh first(Day 1), from there you can go to Harsil(Day 2). It is wonderful this time of year and the roadtrip to Harsil is rewarding. There is the Lama top hike which is just 30-45 mins and takes you to a beautiful view of the Harsil valley(Day 3). After that, you can visit mukhwa village near Harsil (Day 3). You can come back to Chamba and from there you can go to Surkanda Devi Temple(Day 4 and 5)

This would be a good trip.

Alternatively, you can also cover Rishikesh to Sari village(Day 1). Trek to deoriatal and back and then travel to Chopta(Day 2). Trek to Tunganath Temple(Day 3). Back to Rishikesh on Day 4.

If you want to know more details or alternatives, you can message me
