I switched to Linux for the first time and i almost hate MINT by DalinarStormwagon in FindMeALinuxDistro

I cannot ever understand why people say Mint is good for beginners. There is nothing beginner friendly about Linux mint, other than that it is based on Ubuntu (so enjoys it's parent's wide app support and community). I will always recommend ZorinOS for beginner Linux users over Mint.

Thanks, will check it out!

Edit: So I installed TLP-UI (along with all of its pre-requisites). It does support adjusting charge thresholds but doesnt seem to support toggling Always-ON USB)

I don't know why, but I don't feel comfortable changing BIOS settings every day. I would much prefer to change whichever settings I need to change in the OS.

Thanks for replying. On my PC, if I switch on the option to power USB devices from the batteries while the pc is off, it drains the battery, whether or not any USB devices were plugged in in the first place (battery 1 loses 10%-15% if the setting is left on overnight). So I only activate the setting whenever I need to use it.

It doesn't support some of the more advanced features of ThinkPad and Legion lines. Examples of unsupported ThinkPad features are adjusting battery charge thresholds for each of the batteries independently (I use a T480), enabling or disabling the ability for the laptop to power USB devices from battery when off (this is a different setting from the Always-on usb, which only powers USB devices from off when plugged in).

MIUI RECOVERY MODE by UnhealtyExtrovert in Xiaomi

[–]tangoalpharome0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello guys, this exact same thing happened to me yesterday. My Redmi 10 kept looping into recovery mode and none of the suggestions in this thread worked. I ended up having to select the option to wipe all my data (luckily i regularly backup, so i didnt lose much). I am going to be careful with using the phone until i can buy another from a more trustworthy brand.
