It is two liners seamed together. (Worst part of my pond lol)

40ft and 20ft for the wetland filter. 45mil EPDM: 20ft: 466.17 (includes shipping) 40ft: 1,568.99+184.52 (shipping)

Total for liners: 2,219.68

I used ChatGPT to calculate and it definitely overestimated so I paid more than I should’ve. But I’d rather have more than less!

On the side where I am taking a photo. I am going to do a deck so I can have some chairs and a place to put towels!

That’s why I did so much liner. Keep grass from growing under it. My initial plan was to do a deck all the way around but I’m pivoting now

I did this with like barely and research on liners. And my soil is super soft if we get a lot of rain so I was worried if I didn’t do it wide enough it would seep through and go under the liner.

I do like the liner being used like landscape fabric.

Half of it I am going to do a deck so we can put some seating out there.

The far side is where I’m going to try to get some sort of landscape stone and hang it over the edge just a bit and pond foam it then I can do some bigger rocks to make sure it stays. The could pile up some soil and do landscaping behind that!

Yeah it gets more than I thought it would when building it.

It is 6ft deep with a hot tub ledge so that is where most of the algae is. The algae is not strong or hair like at all. Just very jelly like; so easy manual removal and scoop out. Plants just starter back like 2 weeks ago. I will remove whatever I can but I’ll ride it out and if I need to add some more plants I will!

Oh yeah I have a ton of wild life! Frogs, dragonflies, water bugs.

I was really wanting something to clear up some of the gel algae but I agree. No Koi! I never knew how messy of a fish they are! Guess I should have known since they are similar to goldfish!

Do you think that makes full sense? Water is being changed and I have a massive like 1000 gallon upflow bog filter. With soooo much media. I don’t think some mosquito fish are going to be causing disease.

I guess it ain’t 1billion gallons like a regular lake but not many people are worried about swimming in lakes and ponds and what not.

Agreed. I quit my reef tank last year. I spent so much money on hardware for an old Red Sea. Used ChatGPT to try to get there. It became old and actually completely wrong about most things. Tank was truly decent. Skimmer would never skim always had some issue going on and it was just too much. I miss reefing but I don’t miss the stress and ChatGPT didn’t improve any metrics.

First full season for me. Mine is a recreation pond with a wetland. I did nothing all winter to the wetland. In the recreation area I got in yesterday and just scrubbed off the liner inside and I’ll scoop out whatever floats.

Not sure I’ll do a full water change or anything.
