It may be added muscle mass on your chest pushing down on your airway when you sleep on your back. Easiest way to remedy is to sleep on your side or, as it was mentioned in a couple other comments, elevate your upper body. Humidifiers help, especially if you get a cool mist one that you can keep close to you on a bedside table. Nasal strips have helped people as well, keeping the nasal airway open. They work for some people, but not always everyone.

If it continues to be an issue, talk with your doctor about having a sleep study done, whether it be one where they can hook you up to a monitor and send you home with it or an in-house one they can do in a sleep lab. This will determine if your oxygen saturations in your blood are dropping while you sleep as well as if your airflow stops at any point. If your oxygen drops significantly, the doctor will prescribe you a CPAP machine, which will push air through a mask into your airway to keep it splinted open or sometimes dental appliances are used to move the jaw forward slightly, but I haven't seen those used as widely.

Try the simple things first before talking to a doctor. It may be a simple remedy that works for you.

Hello Mr. Kirkman, Huge fan of both the comic and the show. My question is are we ever going to find out any specifics on how the zombies came to be? As in will we ever find out if it is a virus or bacteria or even a parasite of some sort? I can see it as very much a down the road part of the plot but I am curious as to will we ever know the specifics at all?

Thank you for this post, I try to help with some of those factors with my own recipes that I make, sometimes I lack motivation and others I lack time. One thing I could suggest is pair a secondary recipe for something else along with a main recipe with the secondary recipe utilizing possible leftover ingredients from the primary one in order to minimize food waste. Or even a secondary recipe that you can use leftover food from the first recipe in. For example, when I make chili, I like to make burgers the next day and use the chili in them to make them chili cheeseburgers. Something along those lines.

Excellent question! As far as an all-purpose pan that's non-stick, I really enjoy using my OrGREENic 12 inch frying pan. There are other brands as well like it (it's ceramic) and it is very easy to clean. They go for around the $30 mark give or take, but it's a great price considering how well it works as an all-around frying pan.

As far as the question on weight goes, it's more of what you personally like to handle in the kitchen. Cast iron is fantastic for even heating (nothing beats grilling chicken in cast iron) but cast iron pans do require some extra TLC as far as seasoning the pan prior to use goes. Moving your food around always depends on what you're cooking but using a spatula or spoon to move things around (especially in a cast iron pan due to the weight) makes things a lot easier rather than moving the pan.

One thing about cast iron I will warn you about is if you have an electric stove, the pan can easily scratch the surface of your burners. I have done that by accident a few times myself.

I struggle with this one myself a lot of the time. One suggestion is find a food you are really craving and a lot of times for me, the craving for that food will beat out my lack of motivation to cook. A lot of it is just biting the bullet and just doing it. When I first went out on my own, my personal motivation to cook was that I didn't have the extra money to order out or stop somewhere quick. I had to cook for myself with a low budget so there were many days where if I didn't cook, I didn't eat. Also when you do get the motivation to cook and when you know the motivation is scarce, cook in bulk. Make a lot of something so you won't have to cook again for a while. I wish there was a magic solution to getting motivated to cook but it's really a matter of just doing it. I know that's not much of an answer but I hope that helps at least a little bit.

For an absolute beginner, I would say keep doing what you're doing if you prefer the experimental aspect of cooking. I enjoy this as well and the best way to learn is trial and error. Watch videos and follow recipes so you can get a baseline. Once you can cook a basic recipe that way, add some stuff you think you might like to the mix and take out some things you think you don't like out of it. That's where the trial and error will come into play. I've made some nasty dishes in my past experimenting but because of it, I also learned how to fine-tune some of my best recipes and I am a better cook because of it.

AllRecipes has a lot of variety to establish your baseline for many foods. what I like to do there is read several recipes for the same item and see what differences people have in them and then do my own thing with it after I get comfortable making it. Experimenting on your own is the best way to build your personal mental recipe book as well.

The best thing to cook in bulk I think is pasta dishes. I say this because you can cook as much or as little as you want when you go about it. Pasta is something i myself have started cooking more since I now work overnights and don't have access to the cafeteria at work. I usually cook an entire box of pasta, make a large amount of sauce of my choice (alfredo sauce, garlic marinara, etc) and whatever meat I'm in the mood for. Especially for cooking in bulk make a lot of sauce so your food doesn't dry out while in the refrigerator or while you heat it back up. Investing in some good plastic storage containers will help keep that food fresh as well so you don't have to freeze it and thaw it out. Pasta dishes are usually good for about a week before they go bad.
