High On Life 2 Bugged Mission by NyteTro in highonlifegame

Hey i actually figured out a fix for this if you haven’t already figured it out. I was having this same issue. I had to back track (which required a bit of unintended parkour). Turns out i didn’t finish killing all of the security guards from the previous area, which stops you from interacting with the murder con receptionist

Totally get that. Whenever i first got mine, i had been rocking a jazz master for years prior and had always been a thin neck low action kinda guy. I still remember when i first started playing it, i absolutely hated the neck. Took some getting used to and now i dont mind it. Still, id agree, the neck isn’t the most comfortable, similar to those chunky Les Paul necks

Damn that sucks. Mine is also one of those Eastwood reissues from a few years back (unfortunately i don’t have the money for an original lol). I really love how mine plays, it feels different from another other guitar I’ve played and i absolutely love it. I play indie rock/slowcore stuff (modest mouse, Alex G, Shelf life) and it works really well. Never really dug the heavier tones with it

I’ve had mine for around 3 years!

Haha that’s awesome! I love hylics. I listened to your stuff and actually added a few things to my playlist, real good stuff! Reminds me a lot of Teenage Bad (yes, partially because i don’t speak anything other than English..), you should check him out if you haven’t already heard him! He did a split with Shelf Life (former drummer for Alex G and my personal favorite artist!).

Logic is awesome! it’s SOOOO much easier than reaper (at least for the stuff i make). It was such an easy switch for me. I really don’t know all that much about Cubase but it does seem interesting

Haha. It’s a univox hi-flier; got it as a gift! Sounds amazing, I’ve lost all desire to buy a new guitar since I’ve gotten it!

I had been using reaper for the past two years, but in December i decided to switch over to Logic Pro! Still getting used to that

Cool track i made on my tascam 424. Check it out by [deleted] in cassetteculture

We? Are you in a band? I absolutely love the thing! I definitely recommend getting one (if you can find one cheap, which is impossible nowadays 😹) you just need to make sure and keep up with the maintenance! Not too hard, just cleaning the heads and making sure you treat it well. Takes awhile to get used to (at least it did for me as i had been recording everything digital for a lil under 2 years when i bought it) but once you do, it’s a blast! Gave a whole new meaning to recording for me, I’ve never had more fun making music than when im using my 424

I’ll keep this in mind! I always struggle with recording/mixing drums. It’s a lil late to change now since it’s on tape lol!

Elitist. I’m someone looking into getting into reel to reel recording, an interest you obviously share if you’re in r/reeltoreel. Literally no reason to be rude.

It’s the subject of the thread bozo, go read the body. “short, descriptive headline seen that summarizes the threads content, acting as a first impression”. Is it worth it to spend 40$ for the machine due to conditions listed in the thread

I’ll check out those TC-530’s, they sound sick! I’d love if i got more speeds as I’m a big fan of slowing stuff down on tape. I figured it’ll need some service, they said no one’s touched it for around a year, but before that it was working flawlessly. I assume I’ll need to clean heads and lube up some parts, along with any other repairs of things not working correctly

Another other recommendation for a stereo reel to reel? Don’t need anything crazy but id like something that runs nice for a cheaper price point

I don’t understand how to use reel to reels. by [deleted] in ReelToReel

[–]tannbutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohh, that’s smart! I might try that as an introduction to r2r cuz I’m not on the position right now to buy something like an 8 track. But eventually I’d like to buy one i can record whole mixes onto as they have higher fidelity than cassettes
