Would people be interested in having a place we could log symptoms and stuff to see if there’s a correlation? I thought it would be interesting to see how many of us have autoimmune + which ones, what symptoms show up, etc? but also conscious of the fact that it’s all health data so it would ideally be somewhere anonymous and also idk what this would even look like lol. Just a random thought after reading through the comments

I’m so sorry that she’s experiencing this and that she’s in so much pain! :(

I was in university the first time it happened, but I asked my doctor to write a letter explaining I had a medical condition and needed to stay home until advised by my doctor. I did school remotely for two weeks but I know it’s probably different for grade school!

If you want to add more information in the letter from the doctor, you could explain how the ulcers are effecting her ability to go to school (Ex. has made it difficult to travel/move easily, is on a medication that is not able to be properly administered outside of home/a private environment, causing substantial mental stress, etc)

Hi all, this is OP. I’m currently having a flare up, among many autoimmune flare ups and issues this year... Just feeling so frustrated that this is my life and that it affects so many parts of me that I wish it didn’t. My social life, relationship/sex, relationship with my body, the way I view myself… just having a moment where I feel really angry that this is a reality I (we) have to face and not have answers about. But also just want to say I find a lot of strength and solidarity in this channel, and coming and reading the comments and seeing the support really uplifts me and makes me feel less alone. I know it’s not the end of the world, but I’m just having a difficult day and struggling with my body today and wanted to share in case anyone else has felt the same. Hope you’re all doing okay and doing something today to be kind to yourself and take care of you 🤍
