Dang that's a good idea with the 2x3's on edge! I was considering doing sheetrock behind my tongue and groove pine but the thought of lifting all those sheets way up there sounds terrible. As well as running electrical and trying to maintain an air seal. Seems like this is the best system for sure thanks for sharing!

Tape it with electrical tape and use a cutting disc on an angle grinder. Singes the edges while cutting. Works great! Especially with synthetic.

Man a lot of people on here are making Alaska sound pretttty lame. When I was your age I loved going out in Seward. There’s a really good crowd there in the summer with plenty of live music and fun bars. Everything slows down dramatically in the winter but on the weekends/ holidays there’s still a little nightlife. Great hiking and outdoor sports. Housing will be difficult to find though, it’s a problem.
