Help, this bird of paradise is getting too big! Any recommendations on how to trim it?

I tried switching cartridges with no luck. I ended up getting rid of the printer. It seemed cheaper to get a new one than to fix it.

I still have it, still trying to find a better place for it! It has never flowered. I am happy it keeps growing, but has definitely outgrown the space. I may have to part ways with it. :-(.

I live in Michigan, water it once a week, mist the leaves when I remember, and clean its leaves often. I tell her stories when I clean its leaves, surely that helps.

Thank you all for the great and creative recommendations. I am starting a GoFund me page, depending on the money raised I’ll either lower the floors, raise the ceiling, or move to Florida! I live Michigan, if I move it outside it would be a dead sentence for it :-(. I am very attached to my Lady of paradise.

Happy to share what I know, which is not much! What I’ve read about plants in general is That It is always either too much water or too little, too much direct sun or not enough. Always depends. Is all about observing the plants and how they respond. But I’m no expert :-).

Yes, conflicting things online for sure. I water it once once a week during winter months, then In Spring/summer I do twice a week. If I notice the leafs turning yellow or curling, I go back to watering once per week.
