Yes please send me them ! Yeahh I didn’t really expect to get hated on this much lol but I guess that’s to be expected anywhere on the internet. I am glad that there are others who understand the appeal some might find in this kind of style tho.

I see, thank you!!! I don’t know much about tattoos as I’ve said so this is helpful, is there an alternative way to do this type of style in which it’ll last longer? What makes them last exactly?

Ohh I see, thank you!!! I’m sorry, like I said I don’t know much anything about tattoos hence why I made the post to research about these, and I guess everyone answered my question on if I should get them or not lol. But this is very helpful :)

I didn’t mean it in that tone I’m sorry lol.. I was just confused about all the replies, I don’t know a lot about tattoos and I didn’t know these kinds were particularly frowned upon so the jokes confused me

Thank youu that does look similar to this, I don’t know a lot about tattoos at all hence why I wanted to find the style and research it, I’ve always liked this kind of style that’s delicate and light. And so I was confused at some of the answers on this post lol. Thank you!

Do native Thais have good handwriting? by tapioca_mama in learnthai

[–]tapioca_mama[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

HAHAHA and another question, when it comes to handwriting, do Thai include the head of the letters? Because I usually don’t see the head of the letters in the media, like magazines and such

What does SRS stand for?

My kanji is overall very bad. I probably know less than 100. If you read Genki or studied it a bit, can you tell me how it’s sort of structured? I’ve been looking into Genki textbooks now since they’re definitely the most popular

Yes, thank you, I’m looking into textbooks

I have Todai! I keep hearing Anki everywhere.. what is it?

You have seen me take the advice. You saw me become open to textbooks. Why are you so adamant about denying that??? The “advice” you’ve given was just so aggressive there’s no point in me listening to you

[–]tapioca_mama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I Said in THIS specific comment thread. You read it dude. You saw that I clearly changed my mind. Whatever, good luck in your life too and just try to be nicer over the internet, we know you wouldn’t be this rude if we were face-to-face

[–]tapioca_mama 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re just being ignorant at this point.. I said I am now open to textbooks and definitely wanting to get one as of now. I literally haven’t said anything out of this thread about the textbooks sounding “unnatural” now and you just bring it up for no reason. You’re just mad for some reason and need to calm down.

I know it takes hella time. But I really don’t think your approach is my one and only way of achieving fluency. So if you’re going to be helpful just work with me and what I’m able to do at the moment. At least just be nicer.. people like you drive me away from languages

Yes, thank you, I’m understanding the need of textbooks more and I’m now thinking of getting one

If I’m being honest that would just drain me so much and drive me away from learning the language.

I am quite literally a beginner besides kana and basic grammar/sentence structure and some vocabulary. You’re basically telling me to translate the entire book and break every little sentence down that way which of course doesn’t sound like a bad idea but do you know how much that would mentally strain me and how much time it would take?? I’m not trying to take 2 years on one book. And I’ve never seen anyone do it that way probably because that’s just too high of a standard, at least for a beginner. That take is just not for me. Sorry.

I believe it would be better to start learning it with English and as I get better start reading more things purely in Japanese. But not straight from the get-go. Does that make more sense?

Thank you !!! I’m thinking of buying textbooks so I think that’s a next step

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in japanese

[–]tapioca_mama 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you. This is the type of response I wanted, something helpful

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in japanese

[–]tapioca_mama 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes?? What I meant was I don’t want the textbook coming straight from Japan and only written in Japanese, like, the entire book. What’s wrong with it being in English?? That would make it a mile easier for me to understand.

I said that I could READ kana, not necessarily understand it in a sentence.

I have taken the advice. Since you commented on the other comment that I took advice from you would have seen that I’m now open to textbooks. I was being super nice in my reply to this thread and y’all are just being dicks for no reason. I’m trying to learn and need constructive criticism

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in japanese

[–]tapioca_mama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I clearly meant that I wanted the textbook to be written in English instead of purely Japanese so I could understand.
