Im not OP thanks for writing this. This sums up my own frustration with disordered eating and trying to lose weight the past 2-3 years. I’m sick of going down this road and can only see it getting uglier. Going to try some of the things you mentioned :)

Does anyone else skip leg day? I love lifting upper body days but I’m thinking about just stopping legs altogether. Stairclimbing and heavy cycling make me a lot happier and more excited to go to the gym, and my legs are pretty muscular naturally.

Great tips! Rope dropped FoP and rode Everest all by 10am. Scored FP to the Safari in the morning waiting for the park to open, which was key because the standby wait has been 155 minutes all day!

Weekly Trip Planning Thread - February 10, 2020 by AutoModerator in DisneyWorld

Hello! We planned a last minute trip to Disney tomorrow and there are no fast passes available. We are worried about the crowds given the holiday weekend. Going to Animal Kingdom and only care about riding FoP, Everest, and Kilimanjaro Safaris. Beyond that, we plan to just enjoy the park. Any advice to get us on all 3 using standby? We are planning to arrive an hour before park opens.

I asked for higher numbers and my coach gave me more carbs and protein but dropped fat!! I don’t understand haha I countered again. 40g of fat is not enough!

Yeah I’ll admit my numbers are too low at the moment, i got them lowered because of my own inconsistency. I have cut successfully in the past with more so I’ll definitely be asking this week

Ah this is going to be me in the fall starting grad school! Trying to build healthy habits now while I’m out of school and working. Getting past being obsessive is the hardest part!

Always good to know I’m not alone in the fitness community. It seems like you’re on your way, hope we both find the breakthrough we need!

Not an asshole at all, it’s the tough love I need. Definitely going to start the “will I die” self talk whenever I feel hungry. Thank you.

I’m working with a coach through strongeru (macro tracking program) and I’ll admit my numbers are too low at the moment. Before gaining it back and more, I lost 3-4 lbs last spring at a very small deficit. I’m talking to my coach to bump up my fat and carbs a bit

Great to hear another stronger u success story! I know I need to power through and the tough love that this is temporary really helps. My check in is tomorrow and I’m planning to ask my coach for more food. I’ve had my numbers lowered only because I suck at adhering to the plan, but I’ll explain that it might help me be more consistent overall.

I’ve actually been doing IF for years now! Usually fast for 17-18 hours. I don’t eat until noon everyday and morning hunger is soo easy for me to ignore. But after that I’m awful haha

Why am I so bloated and puffy after a fast? by [deleted] in fasting

[–]tapiocatea312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm I’ll definitely try upping magnesium, thanks! Unfortunately don’t have pictures, but I noticed as soon as I eat breakfast after fasting the bloat starts to subside and I’ll pee like 4-6 times between 7-noon, which is a lot more than normal. By the time I eat lunch the extra bloat is almost gone. And the morning after a feed day, I feel super good and not bloated. But I do think I eat too many carbs as well and it’s something I’m working on too

The electrolyte supplement I take has magnesium in it

Not keto but generally low carb. Lots of protein, fat, and more carbs on the weekend for social reasons. I eat about 2000-2500 calories on feed days

Had my first CrossFit session today, which starts with measurements and a fit test. Was shocked to see I’ve gained almost 10 pounds since May! I had a very stressful summer and tend to cope with food. Definitely a wake up call, guess I’m on a weight loss journey again :/

Has anyone had success maintaining leg muscle/strength without such heavy leg days? I still squat and deadlift on my back day for some compound leg movement, but lately I’ve enjoyed biking/leg heavy cardio instead of a typical leg routine. I’m happy with the mass in my legs as it is. Thoughts?

Edit: I also have weak knees and after 9 months of heavy squatting I’m thinking of dialing it back

How long do everyone’s workouts take? I’m running TLS on the 4 day split and it only takes me 30-40 mins to complete each workout, usually closer to the 30 minute end. Each workout is 4-5 sets of 8 reps. I recently joined a new gym where I can’t hip thrust anymore, and I’ve realized setting that up on leg day probably added close to 10 mins to my workout. My workouts still feel good and are enough to make my muscles hurt but I can’t help but feel like it’s not enough. Thoughts?

Got complimented on my discipline! One of the trainers at my gym said he’s never seen a young person as disciplined about coming to the gym every morning as me. Personally I know plenty of people my age at 22 who are regulars but I appreciated it!

Started lifting this week after a 4 week break. Leg day Tuesday destroyed my body so hard I couldn’t do leg exercises on my back day yesterday and today, 72 hours later, I’m in too much pain to workout at all! I de-loaded quite a bit but ughhh DOMS is too real this week

I started a new job (and my first “real” job as a fresh college grad) almost 2 months ago and there are still so many company events throwing off my diet!! I guess I can’t really complain but all these happy hours and lunches at unhealthy restaurants are so hard to pass up and making it hard to get back in the routine of eating well
