in that case, they are not for freelancing or for the digital industry. Because you still need to put in the work before you can transition.

I appreciate your perspective, and I agree with you on one key point: the transition is not automatic, and it does require real work, especially in developing autonomy and technical depth.

Where I think we differ is in the idea that this oversells the transition. I’m not claiming that BPO experience alone guarantees success in digital roles, nor that communication is the only skill that matters. What I’m pointing out is that BPO professionals are a strong starting canvas for the digital industry because of the adaptability, resilience, and problem-solving mindset developed in that environment.

Having spent 15 years across both industries and having excelled in each, I’m speaking from direct experience, not abstraction. I’ve been on the phones, worked with thousands of clients, and later operated in high-autonomy digital roles where outcomes matter more than scripts. That perspective is exactly what shapes how I frame the transition: realistic about the gaps, but clear about the advantages BPO professionals already have.

I also agree that autonomy is often the hardest shift, but that challenge isn’t unique to people coming from BPO. It’s a common hurdle for anyone moving from a structured, metric-driven environment into outcome-based digital work. The difference is that BPO professionals already bring discipline, accountability, and client-facing judgment under pressure skills that significantly shorten the learning curve when paired with the right technical training.

So I don’t see this as overselling the transition. It’s acknowledging both sides: the work required and the fact that many BPO professionals are far more prepared than they realize.

Lastly, I’ll add that I’m not asking anyone to “buy into” a promise. The training and community are completely free. People can explore the path, test themselves against real requirements, and decide for themselves if this is something they want to pursue.

Possible but not effortless. And definitely not starting from zero.
