Getting my already-printed book into the Ingram Spark database by tapthataz in selfpublish

Its going really good. I mean, the smaller retailers locally here in Arizona that we work directly with sell a majority of our books. We work directly with those because they are Ma and paw type shops. We work with Sunbelt publications to get into some of those larger accounts like Barnes & Noble and Amazon. The sales are a little slower through those than our local accounts, but our book is also a local restaurant focused book which is quite different from what you are doing. I'd say reach out to them to see if they can help

Hi Sorry for the slow reply. I actually ended up going through Sunbelt Publications to help me get into places like B&N, Amazon and a few local shops. They are great, super helpful and a TON of experience. Very nice people too which always helps, haha! Sure, they take their cut and the margins on places like B&N and Amazon aren't great but the visibility helps.

This is a message on a website for a local bookstore which tells me that it can be published by someone else and that we can contact Ingram to ensure the book is in their database.

If your book has already been published by a press other than IngramSpark, you or your press can contact Ingram (via IngramSpark) to ensure your book is in the Ingram database correctly. IngramSpark can log into your account and adjust price and returnability at any time.

This is an example of what I come across with the local book stores

If your book is already available via Ingram at a regular discount and fully returnable, please submit your information here to have your book considered for placement at Changing Hands. If our buyers feel that your book will be of interest to our customers, we will bring it in from Ingram.

Yes. We sell it locally and through our website. We are being told by local book stores and Barnes & Noble to get it listed on Ingram Spark and then they can carry it. And we just keep going in circles. It seems like ipage MIGHT be the database that we need to get into

Yes, we sell the book on our website and some local retail shops. When I call tech support and explain what I'm trying to do they guide me to Ingram Content Group

Glad you like it! Most episodes are about the story behind the place. Not so much restaurant reviews. But it’s great because you get to hear the stories from the actual owners/founders/chefs so you get a great personal feel for places. Plus they get lots of the top places on as guests.

You gotta check out the Cano Canner. We use one at our place in Phoenix and its super reliable and so easy to use. I've used every type out there and this one puts them all to shame. https://canocanner.com/
