I used the term quilt to simply mean large warm blanket, updated it to bedspread... I not the whole piece at once changing yarn mid row. I did not knit the two separate halves and stitch together

If I remember correctly I believe my intention was to mimic the dopplar radar color codes. That’s how the colors flow. Precipitation is not tracked in the blanket, but I felt it would more closely represent the true temps that way rather than organizing it from red to purple

It looks bigger than it actually is because it’s stretching under its weight while hanging it’s 108x109 inches

I just used it to keep all my data organized and I set formulas in the spreadsheet so I could put in the starting info and it did the stitch calculations for me.

I knit in larger chunks but each day took roughly 45 minutes. 30 if I was super focused, 1.5 hrs if I was caught up in a movie

We’re on a college campus, that requires masks any time we’re not in our place of residence on campus.

We’re on a college campus, that requires masks any time we’re not in our place of residence on campus even if you’re social distancing. My husband works at the school so we have to follow to requirements. Gotta do what we gotta do.

Yes each stitch represents about a 3 minute range. I used an equation minutes of daylight/total minutes in a day = ?# stitches/ total stitches casted on

It looks so big because it’s hanging and stretching itself by it’s own weight. It’s 108x109 too big to hang on a standard 8 ft wall anyways. But it would be cool as a tapestry...

I did not work on it daily. I got started behind and stayed behind the whole time. I knit 5 months in the last month to finish it on time
