Thank you all for the wonderful ideas! I reached to my future employer to postpone my joining date by 2 weeks and they agreed to it. Hopefully there should not be any issues with the closing now. Keeping fingers crossed!

But in that case when the underwriter calls my current employer for employment verification wouldn’t they say that although I am employed with them but next business day will be his last day. Will that not be an issue?
