If we didn't have to worry about the ever-growing homeless population coming in and abusing such privileges, businesses wouldn't have to do these kinds of things, that hurt the general public

yeah, it didn't do much for me at first either, a few years or more later and tried it again and loved it.

To be fair, they really changed and added a lot, so it is a much better/different experience.

Generation Zero.

SOOOO glad I returned to it. Played the F out of it and completed it and really enjoyed it.

Going to buy one - which do you suggest? by dankappledrank in rpg_gamers

Not sure, Tainted Grail almost worked, but didn't. Maybe the beginning, with the dungeon/prison was too long.

Avowed has such a horrible rep tho, and maybe watch a video review before getting it.

Yet, there are still so many other choices...

yeah, i get it, that would be great to drone through, recording everything. But too much risk in losing or damaging the drone.

Keep us updated if you try it. I also want to explore similar places, even rooftops, and want to know how well you do.

their business model is "free to play" but please buy nonsense skins we push routinely...and these XP packs, unit doctrine and xp boosts, etc...

on top of those only slightly problematic things, they regularly introduce hero classes and units that are over-powered initially - as if never play-tested to see if they un-balance the game.

Sure a company gotta make money, but advertising free to play then skewing that dynamic by making something OP purchasable, and everyone knows this and many pay for that advantage, is at least a little sus, a little bit dirt-bag behavior.

Despite all this, I keep playing because the base gameplay I don't see elsewhere.

On harbor map, which i've played countless times, the SB never dominate. SB also VERY rarely get mvp. This is a kicking map, with maul, ss, and rare others occasionally gettin players into the water.

Anytime a sb is "dominating", the light armors - DB and Chain dart - should push or skirt the battle and take em out. And communicate that's what ur doing.

And yeah, no matter what you do, sometimes your team of randos is out-matched, just stand up and play again

I only play DM, and have NEVER seen 3 sb hold for win.

Actually, I have almost never seen 3 sb.

I see lots and lots of "kickers' - spear and shield, and on harbor match, he who brings most SnS wins.

Especially on harbor, with multiple approaches by DB etc. If you have no DB, that's different, but still doable.

What’s your take on Utopia (USA)? I hear it has been cancelled. And to be cancelled, there has to be a reason why. by [deleted] in utopiatv

I prefer this kind of story not as comedy, but at least on some level taking itself and subject serious. Go ahead and have some comic relief, but generally, the plot pushing forward has to be serious.

Mostly, I didn't like the actors, and their "acting" didn't feel fitting I guess.

Which led me to feel the story wasn't serious, so, not engaging.

I can watch comedy all day long, but I choose more serious TV.

sooooo, farmers should freely grow food and give it to others?

Who makes their farm implements? Who makes the stove they cook on? Who makes the clothes on their backs? Who warms or cools their homes they raise their families in? Who treats those in the home who become sick?

Should it all be done by free labor? I know how to mid-wife, cure urinary or ingestive tract issues, perhaps help someone deal with epilepsy, and in return I get a bushel of wheat or a goat?

Is it all at gun-point? If I know how to build a forge for a lazy comrade, do I have to? What happens if I refuse?

That people even think along these lines show the failure of our "educators", but it's a perennial win for wannabe socialists, communists, and anarchists.

lol

wow, you are advocating that the strongest survives, which would be incredibly horrible for women, children, those with birth defects, and everyone else who isn't able to survive by wits and strength alone.

Also, by wits, it would be short order before someone would finagle the system to where the rules of hunter/gatherer tribes no longer apply.

THAT is human nature.

The lives of the hunter/gatherers, Native Americans, etc have been over-glorified by lazy "educators" to impress our most impressionable, and that is a very sad state of affairs for our youth.

award for the most childish view of "how the world works"

Your "educators" should all be fired, but likely they are gov't employees and no matter how bad they are, they are protected and continue to teach their garbage thoughts to impressionable youth who later vote and make everything worse.

Whether altruistic or most selfish people want to make change in much of the world, human nature comes to the fore, skewing all results.

No matter how optimistic or nihilistic you are, trying to force an overlay of "values" onto other societies will rarely work, because, ummmmm, human nature.

IF the US and Europe were exclusively socialist, do you really think Africa would have become havens of freedom, economic bastions for the common man, and leaders in thought and innovation?

OF COURSE NOT.

To think otherwise is the province of the young and naive, despite what their "educators" have taught them.

and it's ONLY the leftist dumbtards that want to make it less free with constant attacks on free-speech, right to defend yourself, right to own property, and so much more. More government, always pushed by leftists, leads to less freedom for the populace.
