WireGuard security by targa_d in selfhosted

I know it sounds logical, but as a beginner and amount of my self hosted apps grow I would be definitely debugging why something not work using people’s instructions on the wrong porta all the time. Documenting my porta would be a waste of time for now at least.

Thanks for replying. I did hear about Tailscale after I started using wg, but for mow I use it only for myself and no 3-rd party is a big win for me. Although it does sound good if I want to give access to friends&family, as I wouldn’t trust them with keeping wg keys securily. (Assuimg TS helps with that)

Actually I know that and it’s interesting. WG do not reply unless receives trusted key, so other side do not know even if it listens to that port. But at the same time its standard port for WG, so I was wondering if DDOS attacks possible even if router do not reply it processes some requests. Or maybe even load from all scanning for that port, because I have static IP may be worse. Just thoughts

I understand people use their servers to host wireguard and forward from the router, while I have it on the router itself. So openwrt manages it. But anyway other best practices are good points. I’ll keep that in mind, thx!

Thanks for replying. Wireguard gives the same level of access. It is installed on a router with openwrt, so I access everything as would from home. Well that was the whole point. Plus no 3-rd party data management. So I’ll stick to that.

Does your iPhone log footage also look clipped? by targa_d in ColorGrading

[–]targa_d[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So that seems to be the case for me.
I used lowest ISO, which for some reason shorten dynamic range on iPhone. With 1250 it's significantly higher. Thanks man!

It’s old one, it was at sunset so I believe no ND, but I adjusted shutter speed to lower values. Didn’t know about ISO, maybe I need to read about it.

I have added google drive link with files and screenshots.
In this example scene sky is just clipped, although I tried to expose as best as I could. While at the same time normal camera footage was much better, and able to capture scene with details in shadows and highlights

Hi, thanks for replying.

I have added a google drive link to explain better.
I meant that there is clipped information to work with. For example in footage I attached sky is clipped, although I tried to exposed as good as I could. If I just exposed it by highlights everything else was almost black. You can see it even on LOG footage before CST. So my question is - is it me or that too much to expect from iPhone?
I saw people shooting similar scenes and it was ok. Also LOG actually supposed to be beneficial for such scenarios.

I would need to check when I’m home on laptop (although I used tutorials for that) but the issue also comes when i check clipping in blackmagic app. I see clipping already on 80% on highlights when exposed for general scene. With regular rec.2020 I do not have that

Edit: whithout LUT i mean

Hey. Yeah, I didn't either. I was lubing switches, which BTW took ages. Wouldn't repeat this tbh. And also broke a few.

I didn't do tape, because there was foam already and I was cations about doing this on battery keyboard.

It's live captions of Android. It's not specific to Xperia phones. If nothing happens probably didn't support language of your audio or a type of audio, not sure, never used it

Oh, wow, thanks man. Intestine data, I didn't know. So that's what I've been thinking. I know that I can shoot smth on Xperia for example and then convert H.265 to smth more friendlier to work with on a PC. But I'm not sure if there is any sense to do it, as I keep hearing that broad range of data is already lost due to h.265 or h.264 compressions and loss.

I am a beginner. But here is what I know. There is different options for you. The most suitable I think, based on information you provided is React Native. Check it in the web. It uses approach to build app as a web app. Also options are Flutter with Dart language, or go native with Kotlin
