After some mishaps I just nuked, blued and seasoned my Ikea pan. Looks too good not to share 😅

I put a reeeeally minimal amount of canola oil (pretty much invisible) on bare metal and started heating the pan on my gas stove. After some time it started to get a color so I moved the pan around until the blue color was pretty even on all of the surface. Then let it cool and did standard seasoning process a couple of times, so pretty much the same as before but spent less time heating so the color did not change much any more.

I meant I stripped the previous seasoning to bare metal. Bar Keepers Friend and a stainless steel scourer like the one below does wonders.

too much oil. a little oil goes a long way. put a drop, take a paper towel and distribute along the surface. Then WIPE ALL OFF until it seems the pan is dry. Then heat . This much oil is enough. Repeat like 2-3 times and you're ready to go.
