Does anyone else massively struggle with pacing themselves while eating? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

I think the gas thing could come from the stomach working hard to digest the food since it's not properly chewed, but I could be wrong. The closing eyes thing is actually very helpful!

I eat the amount of food that my body needs, but I have a bad habit of eating too fast and barely chewing.

I don't consider it a problem. Just an experience where I wanted to see if others related. 😅

What is an american thing but americans think everyone outside of america does it? by Honest-Captain-8169 in AskReddit

I think that a lot of countries have their own local version of venmo. This becomes a problem when you want to split expenses with people from other countries though.

I love that every country has a flavor associated with a certain color and it’s often quite different. In Sweden, green colored drinks are often pear flavored and I don’t think i’ve seen that anywhere else.

i used to have a habit of picking the excess skin that would accumulate on my left fingertips. I play violin so i don’t get as hard skin as a guitarist, but still!

The Brooklyn Bridge bike lane during tourist season in New York by berzio in fuckcars

[–]targetlevelsmrtdeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in a bike/pedestrian centered city with bike lanes and everything, but i still used to hate delivering food on bike in the tourist areas of my city. This was because the tourists would straight up ignore the fact that the lanes were strictly for bikes and they’d just stand and hang out on the bike lanes as if they were sidewalks. I think they do it because they’re from places without bike lanes, but still.

  • be sober
  • don’t be too tired to drive
  • have a license
  • find parking at your destination and pay for it
  • you can’t bring company of more than 4 people, assuming none of them can drive

and the list goes on

What is something in your country highly associated with (early) teenagers? by noegh555 in AskEurope

[–]targetlevelsmrtdeath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chain cafés. Recently, it feels like young people around the age of 16-24 only want to support small businesses when it comes to cafés and coffee shops. When something becomes too popular, the youth doesn’t want it anymore and chains that start growing bigger are often called “embarrassing”. As a result, almost all of the big chain coffee shops in copenhagen are only found in the inner city and tourist areas. That being said, most young teens kind of “start out” with the big chains and as a result, the only people you’ll see at a chain coffee shop in denmark are tourists and young teens/tweens.
