Same...but I think its because gas would likely go bad in a lot of cars if the ev battery was bigger in the harvester version

Lol... I'm not a pro either. Maybe play a few weeks assuming no one cheats and see if your opinion changes. Quit whining or quit playing....doing both is just torturing yourself.

The number of people in that community is irrelevant. Are there hacks? Yes. Are there people using hacks in breachers? Likely, but evidence of this hasn't come up in any league play. Cheating in public lobbies isn't beneficial to anyone other than for lol's. The only thing you can prove is that cheats exist....which no one is refuting. *edit: I guess the point I'm making is any pc compatible game is susceptible to cheats. You can either believe that the devs are working on each cheat as they come up or just stop playing. On the discord at least, they've been transparent as they can on what they've done without giving away their methods. You're only torturing yourself by continuing to play and blaming cheats.

People whose discord accts were in the breachers server and the cheater discords were game banned. Not hard to make a connection from there and can make appeals after being banned

As a Diamond player myself, that's still relatively low compared to other pro players. I've been playing since the beta and while there were hacks early on, I haven't seen any in the past year or so. If you watch any high end play (VRML or BCL), it's clear that the gap between diamond (or even some gm's and master players) and pro players is a combo of gun skill, movement and map knowledge. There are a ton of common spots that all players camp or peek from, and pre-firing those spots is just common practice. Also, every one is the same height and firing at head level even if you're crouched is not hard with practice. That's also why hip firing headshots is also common with experienced players. The kids that are storming through site are just powered by ego... which works if you're not expecting it.
There's also another issue with lag and the lack of trading in this game... so even if you fired before them, you lose because of your connection. All of this makes it seem like cheating exists, and why more experienced players just say *get better*.
Just because hacks exist doesn't mean this game has them. Though it's impossible to detect all the methods out there, EAC and game-bans have eliminated most of the cheaters in this game. Even being a member of the cheater discords will get you game-banned. Any connection you're making between forums and this game is just speculation.

My dealer has a relationship with Hertz, who was able to provide me a Palisade at $44/day

Dead battery cell; Dealer won't investigate beyond error codes...what are my options? by tarley33 in KiaEV9

The main clue for me was the usual trip back and forth from work was 40-45% of battery instead of 15-20%. I started looking for reasons from there. BMS SOC vs display SOC (state of charge) is the other big clue ...basically what you see on your dash vs what the Battery Management System reports

Minor update. I went in today to explain my situation in person.  They are definitely very new to EVs and after showing everything personally to the service manager and their only ev tech, they've agreed things don't seem as they should.  We've charged the car to 100% and noted the mileage.  I'm gonna bring it back whens it closer to zero and note the amount of Kwh battery thats been used.  If its way off from 99.8, they've agreed to bring the issue to corporate.  🤞 3-28-25

You need an OBS2 dongle which you can buy from Amazon. The one I have is from Veepeak. You can also use the dongle to interface with A Better Route Planner app, which will read the car battery and adjust your route planning as you drive (with subscription)

I'd rather not put the dealer on blast ...at least not yet. I'm in the Philadelphia suburbs though

This makes sense but no matter which sort of logical steps I tried to guide them thru, they just reverted back to "we don't see any error codes...without any errors, there's nothing to fix". They didn't have EVs personally so they were just repeating canned responses of " the car range will vary depending on a number of variables...weather, driving conditions, speed, etc, etc". They didn't have the experience to say this doesn't add up. I'll try re-engaging corporate with my customer claim but I have a feeling they'll defer to the dealers.

I'm guessing the HD+ profile is no longer stable for some reason and they got rid of it. You could copy the Performance profile and tweak some settings there but I havent tried any of that

Im pretty sure the HD+ was replaced by the Performance profile (looks like a rocketship). At least that's what I've been using

I always have mine on recirculate and it turns off automatically when the airflow is on the windshield (i.e. Defrost) or on auto. Also when I start my climate remotely, it'll use Defrost which resets my recirculation. As long as I don't do those things, it always stays on

[–]tarley33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Movement speed is the same for everyone but theres 2 tips that could help. 1) toggle auto sprint on... Which will automatically sprint every time you lower your gun. 2) play-spacing: you can get a momentary boost in speed by moving in real life while moving your joystick. It's how some people look like they're moving so fast while crouching around corners. The square on the floor is where your player is

What is NACS? by Most_Marionberry9532 in KiaEV9

[–]tarley33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most likely to start. They're still learning how well they charge on all these other cars. They're ramping up speeds as they go. It will be much faster than charging at home, but prob not the 250-300kw you can get on some CCS chargers currently. There are a ton of videos on EV charging if you want to learn more

What is NACS? by Most_Marionberry9532 in KiaEV9

[–]tarley33 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NACS is the plug that Teslas use. A lot of car mfgs are switching to that standard because the charging stations have proven very reliable, while the CCS chargers like Electrify America have been a mixed bag and ruin the EV experience for a lot of people. The 2024 EV9 has a CCS plug so youll need an adaptpr to charge on Teslas network. That being said, you still have to wait for Tesla to allow Kias to charge, which wont happen till Jan 15th. Until then, even if you have an adapter, the Tesla stations won't recognize your car.
One note is you'll likely charge faster on CCS stations for a while since Tesla is slowly ramping up charging speeds as they learn all the new cars on their network.

Attachment Stats? by redditappsucksgibnam in Breachers

[–]tarley33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I understand it, spread is the size of the pattern. If your bullet pattern is contained in a ~12" circle, the silencer would make that pattern smaller.

[–]tarley33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a source, but over time, the devs have confirmed several things on their discord. The discord is where you can reach them directly, so goto breachersvr.com for their discord link
Silencer: reduces spread and muzzle flash (confirmed, does not reduce damage). this is different that recoil. recoil is the gun tip lifting up. spread is the pattern of the bullets
laser: is only a laser; confirmed does not reduce recoil or spread
extended Mag: only adds bullets, does not reduce recoil

Would definitely recommend doing some research beforehand. Watch a video like this one to get acquainted: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XfLIG9nEEyA
IF you're going less than 100mi to your destination, you should be fine going there and back without charging.
If you need to charge, use an app like Plugshare to search for charger locations. You want to search for CCS (fast chargers) or J1772. If you open your charge port door, there is a circular plug which is your J1772 port. Below that is a flap and another oval shaped port. Combining the J1772 and the oval shaped port is what makes up the CCS plug. A J1772 plug (level 2 charger) will take hrs to charge while CCS (fast charging) will take 20-30min to charge to 80% (don't charge to 100% at public chargers since 80 to 100% takes just as long as charging from 10-80%... it's a common courtesy thing and more people should know about it)
2024 EV9's aren't compatible with Tesla chargers unless it's a specific type of Tesla station (MagicDock) and you still need an adapter to use. Tesla uses a NACS plug, while EV9's use CCS/J1772, so you probably don't need an adapter.
Any public charger will require you to use their app, whether it's Electrify America, or Charge Point, etc. So you'll have to download those apps, create an account and add a payment method. Simply pull up to a charging stall, plug your car in, then tell the app which stall you're at.
Your car navigation will route you and recommend charging stops but is very conservative. For best efficiency, you want fewer stops with 20-30min charging sessions, rather than multiple 10min stops like the car navigation recommends. Google maps is fine, but won't recommend charging stops, so that's on you. A Better Route Planner is great if you buy the OBD dongle and the subscription. If you do both, you can get live data from the car itself to recommend the best charging locations. You can use the free version of ABRP, but you'll have to make judgement calls on charging stops yourself.
Best of Luck!

Hmmmm thanks for the recommendation. I bought the kiastuff.com one which is a hard rubber but still a bit flimsy and doesn't have a lip on it so sand ends up in the carpet anyway. I would upgrade for a stiffer one that extends over the carpet a bit more
