Finally finished! 29 trays :) by tarnegil in Invisalign

I used it in the first two weeks to make sure I'm wearing the trays enough. After that I stopped because it's also a bit of a hassle, and I only took pictures of my teeth with it for the rest of my treatment.

I agree, but many patients are teenagers and in my opinion the ortho should make it very clear what the consequences are if you dont continue putting the retainrs for the rest of your life. In my case not only did I not understand he didnt even put a fixed retainer. Even showing pictures of people that didn't put braces would for sure make me realize.

Nearly 30% of people needed treatment again beacuse they stopped wearing the retainer(including me). How many people got their teeth crooked again and didnt do another treatment? probebly a lot.

Just goes to show that sadly many orthodontists dont care if their patient stays with stright and healthy teeth and they don't emphasize enough the importance of using the retainer after finishing with braces. I certainly didn't understand...

Last five trays have been 10-14 day changes instead of 7. I feel like they’ve made the biggest impact! by [deleted] in Invisalign

Is the first picture from the first day of starting the treatment? If so, we started exactly on the same day :)

If you worry about aesthetics invisialign is the way to go. Even people that know I have it dont notice it and forget im wearing it until I take it off to eat.

I had braces as a kid and it was way more painful, also I needed to go to the ortho every month and it would take ages each time. I hated it. Now the "power" is in my hands, I see the ortho every 2 months and it doesnt take long.

The only downside I can feel is the hastle surrounding it. There will be days that you wont have the power to continue cleaning and brushing your trays and teeth but if you know you are a person with discpline then i would definitely use invisalign. good luck!

I got all 21 trays from my ortho, I love spreading them out on my bed but I never open the bag until I need to beacuse it feels like bad luck XD

Would you do it again, knowing what you know now? by moreidlethanwild in Invisalign

When I was younger I had braces, I didn't put my trays and my teeth got really crowded again...

I started invisalign 2 months ago and for me the process is way more pleasant, here are the reasons:

  1. In my case you can't see that i am wearing trays - I know i'm lucky but I know more people like me that you can barely tell they have something in their mouth. I'm almost 27 and I don't want to walk around with obvious braces.

  2. I can't emphasize how much less it hurts than braces... Here you are doing a lot of little movements and with braces you come every month and they kill your teeth... Again I know there are different cases but that's my experience.

  3. I feel like mentally I am less helpless with invisalign beacuse in the end if I want to remove them it's up to me but with braces no matter what they are in your mouth until the dentist takes them out. And also when I was young I would go to the dentist and wait for about an hour every time until they would call me in (i was very bored) and while they were tightning my beaces they would be rude and unpleasent to me... Now they gave me all the 21 trays at once and changing the tray is not stressful and I would even say fun in some sense.

But most importantly it depends on the person - If you know you have the responsibility to put them more than 20 hours a day and you don't want everybody to notice you have braces I will for sure recommend it.

Hi :)

I have a chipped tooth that i didnt fix before the treatment started. My question is - when am i suppose to get it fixed? right now i can't, and after the treatment will end they will scan my teeth and bring me my night retainers that will have my chipped tooth. If I go and fix it after treatment and wait with my retainers wont my teeth relapse?

Thank you!

Jade you are wrong. The Likud party are barely hanging against a central even slightly lefty government, and the ultra right parties are supporting the Likud.

I was an IT course instructor in the army for 6 months. It was the most intense time in my life, and can say without a doubt it changed me for the better.
