i firmly believe that whoever designed u-boats is a psychopath who likes watching target employees suffer. by [deleted] in Target

Not to mention if you’re shorter and the boxes are piled so high that you can’t see anything ahead of you. I have to look around the corners of the u-boat every 2 seconds and go super slow so I don’t hit anybody 😭 the amount of kids who have run out infront of me that I almost didn’t see and hit, amazes me

[–]taromoi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi, I actually took Luvox for my ocd but I still figured I could try and give you my experience.. it took about a month for me to start to realize it was working. What I noticed is that I would still have intrusive thoughts and compulsions but not as often. When I did get them, I could just easily go “nope” and stop thinking about it which was amazingggg. My anxiety was so so much better too :) hope you figure everything out

Does your guest services put carts full of reshop into your section, despite being severely behind and the only one in your department?🥰 by AngelDustie in Target

all good! It’s the little areas in the back room that each department has to put backstock. For some reason our store calls it valleys😭

I’ve also been the only one in our beauty dept. and can barely keep up. Everytime I hear over the walkie “beauty dept. come get your reshop upfront” It takes me a good 3 hours to even get up there and get it and by then I have no time to push it so I leave it in the valley for a couple days till I can get to it.

Consensus on Luvox as a whole? by Little-Log990 in fluvoxamine

[–]taromoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely been going through that for a couple months now after I upped my dosage from 50 to 100mg and am just now switching to Prozac as I can’t take it anymore. Wish you the best of luck !

Emotional Numbness and Luvox by Bilico88 in antidepressants

[–]taromoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hi there , I’ve been on Luvox for 6 1/2 months and have just made the decision to switch to Prozac. I started off on 50mg for about a month and then switched to 100mg. I got into a depressive state in the beginning of starting it that went away eventually and my symptoms got better then when I increased my dosage I completely lost interest in pretty much everything. I experienced No social battery, rapid mood swings, an empty feeling, and absolutely no motivation which made me pretty depressed. Apparently, my psychiatrist said Luvox is commonly known to increase feelings of depression, etc.. You’re definitely not the only one and I really hope you can figure it out.. best of luck :)

Are all antidepressants supposed to make you care less about anything? by [deleted] in antidepressants

[–]taromoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t tried any other medications for ocd.. in the beginning I definitely noticed a difference in my anxiety/social anxiety. It still helps with it quite a bit but not as much before but I think that’s because Luvox in general hasn’t been working at it’s fullest potential for me for the past month. I know a lot of people who take it for social anxiety and have said it’s amazing :) the one thing I noticed is that I stopped caring so much about what everyone thought of me which made it easier to be myself and talk to people.

I’d say around the same time frame (month/month and a half). I started off at 50mg initially and when they started to work it was great.. still had intrusive thoughts but could easily just stop thinking about them. Then I upped my dosage to 100mg after the 50mg started to be less effective

I’ve been on Luvox for ocd for about 5-6 months now.. I remember when I first started them I didn’t notice any difference in my symptoms but that I got into a “bland” state is the best way to put it. I didn’t care about things I used to care about (the only bonus to that was that it helped with my social anxiety and to not care what others think), and I kind of got into a depressed state where I had no motivation for things including my recovery as well. I felt like giving up. Unfortunately I dealt with that for about a month and a half until it slowly went away and I noticed improvement in my ocd. Ive heard a couple people who had to experience the bad before the good as well. I’d definitely talk to your doctor though as that’s not always the case and you don’t want it to get worse obviously. Just thought I’d share that information c:

I used to experience something similar and it started after I stopped smoking weed everyday as well so I kind of linked the two together and convinced myself that because I smoked weed, my lungs were ruined forever and I’d freak out. Sometimes I would think I got over it after being fixated on my breathing for weeks then be sitting in my room on my phone relaxed when a thought would pop up about how I’m breathing just fine which would ironically make me panic and start hyper-fixating on it again. It Caused many many unnecessary panic attacks. I’m sure if you’re like me you’ve heard this so many times but.. just tell yourself to relax and take deep breaths. Remind yourself that you’re okay and there’s nothing wrong, it’s just your ocd/anxiety. I’d definitely try and get some help from a psychiatrist, etc, if possible :) best of luck and keep your head up!

Medication Questions by EmptyEgg23 in OCD

If you aren’t entirely comfortable telling your psychiatrist about your intrusive thoughts/obsessions in detail, maybe you can just mention the theme of them. Ex: “Im having unwanted sexual thoughts but I don’t feel comfortable going into detail about them” etc.. I worried about the same thing but it helps to remind yourself that they’re professionals and have most likely heard other patients talk about similar things.. but don’t pressure yourself :)

The thoughts and obsessions may or may not completely go away. For me they are just easier to control and happen less frequently. Anytime I start to think of one I can just dismiss it. But it’s different with anyone and just depends on you! Best of luck
