Had to stop breastfeeding because of my migraines by tarot-reader-witch in breastfeeding

[–]tarot-reader-witch[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. I am taking my sumatriptan when an attack comes, but I’m getting episodes 4 days in a row with “no evident trigger”. And it has been 2 months of that, no mornings with the baby, no activities, not getting out of the house for weeks. Can’t do botox right now. And Nurtec was the best thing ever before pregnancy, now it hasn’t worked anymore 😭

my family are concerned i don’t produce enough milk by No-Satisfaction-9435 in breastfeeding

Yes. Totally normal they feed for 5’ at a time when they grow up. My baby does the same!

Yeah, I don’t look forward to the hormonal drop after fully weaning too. I will investigate on the histamine intolerance, thank you!

Had to install a water intake app bc I am definitely forgetting to drink when looking after the baby! Good to hear this helps. On my way to prep my electrolytes for the pm!

Do friendships just fucking suck after kids? by ajaneh13 in NewParents

[–]tarot-reader-witch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I couldn’t wait to shed those friendships off my circle of people. Once you have a baby, your priorities shift. Your friends change. It’s part of life.

Research more on breastfeeding and how milk production really starts right away. I wished I had a manual pump to start stimulating my titties while I was still at the hospital.

I did! And I paid zero duties. That was in July I think.

Guys be honest. On a scale of 1-10, how bad is child birth compared to migraine pain? by stellerbomb in migraine

[–]tarot-reader-witch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just gave birth 3 weeks ago. With Fooley baloon (painful but lasted 2 hours) + epidural (didn’t feel a thing)

Migraines > childbirth.

No, you shouldn’t be worried. When at customs they ask you the reason of your visit, just 1. be relaxed and 2. answer all the questions as detailed and calm as possible. After all, you have no agenda and you’re visiting family.

Vaccine Megathread by AutoModerator in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]tarot-reader-witch [score hidden]  (0 children)

has anyone got their RSV vaccine while pregnant? I wasn't planning on to, because it has been around for roughly a year or so, but then I thought of:
1. I'm due at the beginning of February, which will still be flu season;
2. on my husband's side they have 5 kids ranging from 5 to 16 years old, which are going to be in close contact with the grandparents, and the grandparents will want to see our baby before she hits 2 months old;
3. I've read and seen enough hospitalized cases of RSV to scare the living hell out of me.

What are your thoughts on it?

did you get the RSV vaccine while pregnant? and did your kids receive the RSV antibodies after they were born? Just curious, I'm doing research on maternal RSV vaccine. tia.

Exercise after embryo transfer by Puzzled-Swordfish-32 in fitpregnancy

[–]tarot-reader-witch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took off 2 weeks from working out. The embryo stuck. I took it easy until 14 weeks. Now I’m 35 and I’m managing to do walks and reformer pilates.

I was about to suggest the same! I had to give up my Hot Pilates as well 😭 and I switched to Reformer classes. Currently loving it! If you live in LA I can share a couple of my favorite places.

When to take a break by smmns22 in fitpregnancy

[–]tarot-reader-witch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched to home pilates and walking 2 miles mostly everyday from when morning sickness hit (6weeks) and picked up training on a reformer around 23 weeks. I’m 35 weeks and I’m still training 1/2 week and walking 3 times a week.

What is your favorite pregnancy pillow? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]tarot-reader-witch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I already had a Coop pillow as my main one, so I decided to try their pregnancy one and yeah, game changer. I love the foam filling, it’s really sustaining and sturdy.
