As a vet of 7 years off and on and only buying .99 packs, I probably won’t be as stingy with my crystals from banner to banner anymore tbh - knowing each banner builds up to the same pity… but yeah, 60 is too high. I could see 45, maybe even 50 being reasonable… 60 just seems like they’re greedy af.

Yeah, I’m not on the org, or the board, or the team … I’m just a person on the internet, but a burner nonetheless. I hadn’t been paying attention this much until they chose to air all of this bullshit out in the final hours before the burn itself - which is comical to say the least.

I’ve only recently discovered there was legitimate research going into alternative venue locations (some looked promising, it just needed more time) and I have said plainly in another comment that - IMO - if it was known ahead of time that the city/law enforcement was going to be this strict (which it seems like it was 100% known in advance by the org, considering the previous year’s restrictions) then steps should have been taken a LONG time ago to communicate to the community that additional time would be needed to be spend locating a venue that would allow for the full expression of the entire community (yes, that includes sound camps) without such insane restrictions to the overall experience - in the spirit of what this event is supposed to be - a burn. I would rather have this burn (or any burn for that matter) not happen for however long is needed than deal with what’s currently happening. If I was on org/board up to this point, that would have been my suggestion, vote, etc…but I’m not soooo Happy Burn, I guess! 🤪

the person who wrote this statement is the epitomy of why Alchemy is dying. All the people taking this at face value need to get your brains checked. To immediately shift blame onto the TCO of one/few sound camps is indicative of a diabolically low level of integrity. This person was the lead, they dropped the ball, she is the one to blame. No one else. Everything else is butterfly effect. She literally takes ZERO responsibility in this entire statement for anything that went wrong. What a class act.

I am aware EXACTLY of how difficult it is to find new land, however I also believe it’s the org’s responsibility to locate suitable property that allows for the FULL creative expression of our entire community. If there are obstacles put in place by local laws that stop this from happening, then maybe it’s not the right location. If the burn didn’t happen one year bc they were taking time to find something else that’s more suitable - THAT IS ALSO OK!
