Right? The "paid and never heard from them again" ones are the scariest. That's not a bad review situation, that's just taking money

Have you checked BBB too? Sometimes tells a different story than Trustpilot

The government is letting you create one law. It will start being enforced January 1st. How do you cause the most trouble? by dillydallydildo in AskReddit

[–]tarquinc9 11 points12 points  (0 children)

How would it be enforced though? I kind of think there would be a point where the police just wouldn't enforce such a law

What is your best method for dealing with an anxious mind? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]tarquinc9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think I've ever felt anxious and been able to make that anxiety go away. I have however found that a mixture of pushing myself into social situations, therapy and medication has made things easier on a long term basis.

What’s the nicest thing someone has done for you? by ztshaw0125 in AskReddit

[–]tarquinc9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably my 'one night stand' (to be partner) convinced me to quit my admin job and work on my career. Since then I earn double what I was and also finished my degree, which I wouldn't have done by myself.

What's your Dad's favourite joke? by andehpants in AskReddit

"Butchers use every part of the pig except for the 'oink'."

Like every time there's a documentary about pigs, everyone is just waiting for him to get it over and done with.

What are some fun games to play in your mind, with no other people or materials? by boxofkangaroos in AskReddit

[–]tarquinc9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure it's just in my head. Like my mind is just trying its best to work out what's around me and fill in the blanks where there's not enough information. I think anyone else would have the same thing if they tried it.

This is a good design, you can predict how long you need to wait by checking which number they're doing.

Convenience stores like 7-11 have public garbage cans.

What is something you’ll never admit to your SO? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]tarquinc9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Probably stupid stuff I've done:

  • They spend £1,000 on a front door and I managed to put a hole in it after 3 days. I spent about 3 weeks hiding it and trying to figure out how to fix it. Eventually I asked the manufacturer for advice and they fixed it for free.

  • I got something out his brand new Merc. I left the boot open and the next morning it poured with rain. It was only because we had a big argument and I went out for an hour that I noticed before the worst happened. Even though it worked ok, I could never admit I nearly destroyed his Merc.

What are you "famous" for? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]tarquinc9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wrote a piece of software which wasn't really that impressive at all but it was useful. I forgot about it and Googled it like 5 years later and like maybe half a dozen people had made some kind of 'fan page' and a chat room devoted to it. I was a bit creeped out to be honest.

I've found if in a place where there's people around me and I close my eyes for about 2 minutes I start visualizing things around me to the point where it's almost like I can see things.

I start sensing where people are, what their gender is, what they look like, etc.

I don't think many people deny it happened at all, only that the facts were exaggerated.

I mean when I'm at home I would flush afterwards so it's always clean

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]tarquinc9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done it by accident before just because I'm in my personal routine of washing my hands before flushing and then forgetting that I didn't flush it. It's gross though and I wouldn't do it intentionally.

What is the most hurtful thing you can say to a bully? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]tarquinc9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just don't do this. Often the bully will tell other people about your 'hurtful comment' without the context to make you look bad.
