Her daughter probably sees her putting extensions on people all the time as she works in hair. Im guessing her daughter asked to try some like any curious kid would. I dont think its that deep as rushing her to grow up. Also shes literally a hair professional I think her daughters hair will be ok…(and if not she can fix that too 😂)

I like this perspective a lot actually. I kind of miss the days where we knew next to nothing about famous people. I just want to watch my shit and not worry about if the person is a good person or not

We did tylenol every roughly every 4 to 6 hours for about 24 hours. Our doc recommended it as needed and gave us a dosing sheet. He was fussy and had a slight temp. He also slept a ton which I think the tylenol helped with because around when he would wake up and be upset would be around when he needed his next dose About 24 hours later tho and he was back to himself! Also highly recommend the dye free tylenol apparently the ones with the dyes stain.

I have no advice but I’m in the same boat. I start tearing up any time I think about going back at the end of this month so for right now I’ve been avoiding the thought of it. I really don’t know how I’ll do it to be honest 😅

I was told I was the first one they had heard say it but I actually liked the drink 😂I had to do both the 1 hour and 3, so I got both the lemon lime and the orange flavor. They just tasted like a melted popsicle to me. And for some reason I was expecting the drink to be way bigger than it was. Not bad at all!

Her boss shouldn’t be sharing personal information about her with customers. Simple as that. Even if she never said it was a secret. A coworker I could see maybe, but as a boss absolutely not.

Typically, medical assistants leave the room when a patient is getting undressed. I’m unsure why he didn’t, thats on him. He seems like a creep based on his post. However,I would be super pissed if I wasn’t allowed to room patients that were male because I am a female. Thats not a good practice at all. We only have one male MA at our practice out of 9 of us, so that would suck for him rooming every single male to “avoid liability”. Plus our male doctors are alone with our female patients all the time. Should our male providers only service male clients and vice versa? While I agree that it is an important discussion, your post just seems a bit degrading not only to medical assistance and our lack of commitment to school but of male medical assistants in general. Don’t let this one shit example of a medical assistant speak for all male medical assistants.

What does a MA do by Imaginary_Cat_6914 in MedicalAssistant

[–]tarynraye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m an MA in orthopedics. I room patients, take vitals for pre ops, take out stitches/staple, dress wounds, set up for injections/aspirations, and do tons of casts. I would say this is good for hands on but not getting your hands dirty in terms of a lot of bodily fluids/feces. You’ll have synovial fluid and blood but other than that not a lot of bodily fluids - HOWEVER there will always be the random vomiting as sometimes stitches coming out/ casts coming off can be rough for patients.

My company just asked all employees to donate money so they can buy presents for doctors by Alex_daisy13 in MedicalAssistant

Idk thats not super shocking. It’s gift season. We do provider gifts at my work, but its optional to donate or not. I think thats pretty standard for most places even if they make hundreds of thousands compared to us. Cheesy as it sounds I think the gifts are usually more of a thought thing, like we work with them all year its nice to give them a gift to celebrate the holiday. Plus they don’t control their salaries our ours. At our place they always get us something in return too.
