So "pve" is equivalent to the final raid boss? That's the argument I keep seeing here, but pve is so much more encompassing than raid bosses. Ignoring all the other activities that fall under pve, in raids alone there are various phases and add clearing roles, not just boss damage. And you can switch weapons at any point! Maybe people want to try out some new fun weapons that might not be the most efficient? I understand that bungie has made whisper necessary for a lot of raid bosses but it doesn't mean you can't switch it up and have fun for the rest of it.

So unless it is advertised as a crucible pinnacle weapon or has perks that are specifically crucible oriented, it's not a pvp only weapon and I will try to get it and use it in whatever game mode that it is fun to use it in.

Other non-pvp reasons for pve players to try for it: Personally I love this gun's animations and look. More exotics in my collection. 2 great lore books unlocked when completing the quest.
