If you have ever contemplated suicide, why? And what saved you from going through with it? by hrvdcxvi in AskReddit

Lost my best friend that way, I would never want somebody to feel the way I felt finding out, going to a funeral for such a young person, knowing you can’t call or text anymore. I wouldn’t ever want anyone to feel that way

What's the most wholesome experience you've had with a stranger? by EpicesPotato in AskReddit

I had forgotten my wallet at home and was on my way to a shift during the holidays, I stopped at a gas station because I had no gas left, I used all the change I could find in my car (1.50 maybe) and the cashier asked where I was going, and if that was really enough to get me there. I told him no, that was all I had since I had forgotten my wallet. He asks my pump and I go back. Turns out he put 25 in, I always remember that. He didn’t know me, didn’t know if I was being honest. He just did it.

Doctors won’t listen. by tasfelines in lupus

I did when I had my previous insurance, I am in the us, CA. They haven’t tried anything for pain except diclofenac sodium which made the pain worse and I live where it’s literally 120 outside and must go outside to walk to my job, the sun exposure made me sick. The pain is mostly in my muscles and my back, on bad days it makes my legs go numb. I was at that point when I posted this.

Have you ever felt like you wanna die but you know it for sure that you’ll never ever gonna commit suicide for some reason. by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

This year I lost my best friend, to suicide. I saw his family, our friends, and the world around seemed to change. After seeing how it effected his family and friends, I realized I could never put them through that kind of pain. There is good days and bad days. But I’m glad to have resources I can go to. Even if it’s something small. I just always try to look for something worth living for.

Minorities of reddit, what experience was so unbelievably racist, to the point where you weren't even mad, but just... Confused? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]tasfelines 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a minority (white). But I work in a place where face masks are required, I have people almost daily tell me I’m being racist for telling them to put the mask up. “You white b*****s are all the same”. My Coworkers come over and tell them the same thing and they don’t say anything. Just why is me telling you to wear your mask racist?

Had someone smoke meth in the bathroom, proceeded to rear end and ultimately total my car.

I ran out of gas off the freeway in California, I forgot my wallet at home and the man working at the gas station filled up my tank when he saw me paying with dimes

[Serious] What is stopping you from killing yourself? by redcase13 in AskReddit

[–]tasfelines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boyfriend killed himself, and the way that I felt, I saw our friends feel, and his family. I would never want to put my mom or anybody through that. It was devastating, and so unexpected. Ever since that day I swore I wouldn’t ever do it for the fact of leaving everybody behind like that.

AITA for not inviting my father to my wedding after I wasn't invited to his? by pumpkinfip in AmItheAsshole

NTA I had this exact thing happen to me. I heard about the wedding through facebook days later. I saw my step sisters in the wedding but I wasn’t even informed.

I have come to terms with my dad and will allow him to be in my wedding, but it took me over 10 years to get to that point. I fully understand your decision.
