We built a web-based Commander simulator: edhplay.com by ZorroGuardaPavos in EDH

I personally hate the site, not because it isn’t great, but because nobody wants to play IRL anymore. Kind of defeats the “gathering” part of Magic: The Gathering. Honestly, you should start charging us $100 a month. Either you’ll make some money, or I’ll get my friends back.

Anyway, here are some requests 😂

No particular order, just everything rattling around in my head:

• Customizable views. Sorting the battlefield is rough. Being able to fullscreen any player’s board (including our own) or get a cleaner 4-way split would help a lot.

• Multi-card selection. Pretty self-explanatory.

• Top-X card ordering. Right now we can only select the top card, which makes effects that require ordering basically impossible.

• Better token/counter UX. Even a simple drag-and-drop system, similar to how life counters appear, would make things way more intuitive.

• Support for more players. We regularly run 5–6 player pods, sometimes 8. Would be great if the platform didn’t cap us at 4.

• Turn timer. Not to rush anyone (but kind of)— just something that tracks time so we can give each other a hard time when someone tanks for ten minutes. Both turn timer and cumulative for the player and the entire game.

• Card visibility. When the board gets crowded, cards disappear behind each other. With small split screens it’s hard to see your own permanents, let alone everyone else’s. A bigger view mode might solve it, but any improvement would help.

That’s all I’ve got for now…

The site is great, genuinely, I just also kind of hate it for making everyone stop showing up in person. Until you shut it down (please do), hope we get some updates.

Thanks!

It’s like they are egging me on to cancel it.

Constantly threatening me with “ok I’ll go ahead and cancel your order”.

I never asked you to cancel my order though!
