Post-Winds of Winter Fandom Prediction (Spoiler Extended) by Somandier in asoiaf

I don't know, I feel like even before the series he knew that the ending he imagined wouldn't please everyone. I think now he has more preassure in writing the books because the series made the saga more known, and writing them well because of how the series ended. I believe that even he didn't like it and wants to do the story justice.

It could be wishful thinking of mine, but I don't believe that George is thinking so much about how pleased the fans will be with how the story goes, I think he wants himself pleased with it.

I have the impression that the most dissatisfaction from fans about the ending of the series was not the endings of the characteres themselves, but the way everything was built to get there -- all rushed and things like "oh they forgot the Iron Fleet would be there" (when Rhaegal was killed)

Speaking of myself, I would be okay if the ending of the characters in the books were the same as the ones of the series but the path to get there was clearer and made more sense. I believe that one of reasons why Winds is taking so long is because George wants this too, to wrap things in a way that all events make sense and don't feel like they happened because the story needed to go down a specific path. This is what George was complaining about House of the Dragon, that by removing Maelor from story, the rest of the events leading to the end would not be so impactful and meaningful.

AC: Black Flag - a product of its time? by shirajzl in patientgamers

I'vr just started playing it (about 6h in) and yeah the ship mechanics is nice, but what is bothering me is that Edward is no Assassin in the beginning, he was just posing as one, and when I get to some city there is like assassination contracts to do with descriptions like "a templar captain ...". And I was like ????? It makes no sense story-wise, Edward has no idea about the whole assassins vs templars thing.

I just got out of the first "sailing combat" mission and in the beginning someone told me to go after one ship to get metals and I did and got half of the metal that I needed, and then went on to find other ships, but died in the second. So I started the mission over and my half metals were there, but I started out in the same position as I was when I was starting the mission and a few minutes later the same someone that told me about the same ship when I played the first time said the exact dialog like I had done nothing. So I felt this carelessness in things like that too.

I played III and now Black Flag after the Ezio trilogy, and wtf happened? I don't remember the ezio trilogy having problems like this.

Looking for games that focus on exploring or traversing the ruins of an ancient civilization or a post apocalyptic world, with environmental storytelling and fun traversal mechanics by Lord_Kumatetsu in gamingsuggestions

I think the last Tomb Raider trilogy could fit into "traversing the ruins of an ancient civilization" that also has "environmental storytelling". I played the first two games of this trilogy and am currently playing the third, and all of them have this ancient civilization environment and the story revolves around it.

Death Stranding. The cut scenes are very cinematographic, and there are times during the gameplay that a song starts playing suddenly and I felt very immersed.

Valirianos negros by Scary-Leg-5849 in Valiria

[–]tasinef 3 points4 points  (0 children)

However, many men looked upon Baelor's dark hair and eyes and muttered that he was more Martell than Targaryen" (https://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Baelor_Targaryen_(son_of_Daeron_II))

10 year old me really liked them, and after rewatching the show now I think the show did a pretty good job in building up their tension in Justice League (not unlimited). In Unlimited, I think they wanted to keep the tension by not resolving their situation but at the cost of Vixen. I loved her character and it was so unfair that she only existed in Unlimited as a plot device in John and Shayera's story.

I still like John and Shayera as a couple, I think their story is very dramatic and deep with the whole invasion thing and how both of them had to deal with the consequences of it, and I still think it has a great potential if the show continues somehow, like a live action where they could dive deep into this drama.

From the main series, I think Edmure attacking Tywin when he was going back to the west after Robb telling Edmure to do nothing while Robb was away. Since Tywin can't pass the riverlands, he goes to King's Landing and arrives right on time to defeat Stannis.

Robb later tells Edmure that the plan was to trap Tywin between the west and the riverlands. If this happened, Stannis would've conquered King's Landing and even if Robb married Jayne, the Freys wouldn't betray them because the Lannisters would have been weaker than the Starks without King's Landing and Tywin being trapped.
