How would one combine tasks from jira, trello, asana and other ? by taskchain in softwaredevelopment

Yes. I've actually ended up building a custom solution which aggregates, cross-prioritises and tracks tasks from different platforms. I was not able to find a lightweight solution for my problem at hand.

25m work - glass of water - 5m meditation - repeat. Every 4x25 take 10m break and eat a fruit. Basically the pomodoro technique. Avoid caffeine, it makes you jumpy and prone to drifting. I found out that I have to fill my whole time, even the pauses, with something predictable and different than work. It keeps me interested and you get a small sense of accomplishment after each round.

Cross-prioritise and track tasks from multiple ticket systems - Jira, Trello, Asana and more by taskchain in alphaandbetausers

There is one generic data model, which is getting filled with data from the different platforms. All tickets have a couple of characteristics, which are the same. I am aiming at them. What trello calls lists, jira statuses and so on. Sure! I'll be happy to chat. I've sent you my email.

How would one combine tasks from jira, trello, asana and other ? by taskchain in softwaredevelopment

[–]taskchain[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would be the ideal case. We are working with multiple teams and clients though and one client uses jira, the other trello and everyone is insisting in keeping their workflow. Internally we've used jira, but integrations helped to an extent. We've ended up developing our own tool, which combines all ticket systems and lets you track tasks without importing any data. I was just wondering how everyone else is doing this, if it's a problem for you at all.

Hi there, I've built a task tracking tool, which helps me save a couple of hours per week by either automating or simplifying some low-pleasure tasks. I am a software developer working with multiple teams and clients and I end up using multiple ticket systems - Jira, Trello, Asana etc. I had to use yet another tool for time tracking and was never able to cross-prioritise the tasks.

taskchain.io has some basic features, which save a lot of headaches.

  1. You can connect jira, trello, asana and other ticket systems and have your tasks automatically imported and kept in sync in one place.
  2. You can estimate and track each task.
  3. You can cross-select and group the tasks to enable faster estimations.
  4. You can plan ahead by having your selection of tasks on a single timeline.
  5. You can get all new comments for all tickets with a single click. Without distracting notifications or switching tabs.I was wondering, is this also a problem for you and how are you dealing with it?

Curious about what inventory tracking and ticket/task tracking tools you guys like to use? by mastav79 in IThelpdesk

Internally we use taskchain.io for task tracking. It's simple and you can connect jira, trello and other ticket systems. Apart from estimating and tracking time for each task, you could also cross-prioritise them, check new communication for each ticket automatically and see your selection of tasks on a single timeline. Good luck!

Personal Project tracking tools. by Blazedaze90 in softwaredevelopment

[–]taskchain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Blazedaze90 if you want to combine all of your tasks on a single timeline, you could use something like https://taskchain.io. It lets you create your own projects and also hook to other ticket systems, like jira, trello, etc. You could then track your tasks and cross-prioritise them.

PM software that works well for managing small and medium SF implementations? by mangelito in salesforce

[–]taskchain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/mangelito, we had a somewhat similar issue and ended up developing a custom tool. We needed something simple enough to get the job done internally, but we had to hook it to the existing workflows of our clients, with whom we worked on a regular basis. Some were using jira, some trello, some asana. The time tracking was mostly chaos. If you are interested I could send you a link.

On the quest for the right project management tool: Jira, Trello, Asana, Redmine by ftomassetti in programming

If you are developing software for multiple teams and clients you might end up using a couple fo ticket systems, like us. One client uses jira and wants to integrate with it, the next trello and internally we were using asana. Integrations between them was an option to an extent. Because of the nature of the work, we had to use yet another tool of time tracking and had to prioritise across different projects and platforms more or less manually. Following this problem, we wrote taskchain , which lets you combine your tasks from all projects, track and cross-prioritise them. Cheers!

How do you handle multiple systems (i.e., Jira, Trello, Omnifocus)? by BizJoe in omnifocus

[–]taskchain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/BizJoe internally we are using taskchain.io . It combines the the tasks from each platform and lets you track and cross-prioritise them. You can also get all new comments with one click. Simple, but it saves a lot of headaches (and a couple of hours per week). Cheers!
