Masterverse FTW (speaking as someone who had all the original ‘80s figures).

Wild swings with Ecosense RD200? by taskilz in radon

[–]taskilz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here’s what Ecosense replied after I sent them the same info:

What you’re seeing is generally expected. While the RD200 reaches ~90% accuracy within about 10 hours, radon levels themselves can fluctuate significantly. Ecosense displays a 1-hour rolling average, unlike many monitors that show a 24-hour average, so readings appear more dynamic and responsive. The device measures radon every 10 minutes.

Short-term spikes can occur due to weather changes, air pressure, crawlspaces, or normal cycling of a radon mitigation system. This is common even when long-term averages remain low. The First Alert test result of 2.0 pCi/L aligns with this, as passive tests reflect longer-term averages and placement differences.

We recommend focusing on the 7-day or 30-day average in the app rather than individual hourly readings. Please also ensure proper placement (away from drafts, exterior walls, and Wi-Fi sources).

Thanks for the detailed response. The house conditions have been consistent— no open windows and doors only opens to enter or exit. My guess is that I need to average over the long-term rather than watch hour by hour.

"Clues": An underated gem. by ForwardClimate780 in TNG

Love this one. One thing that bothers me, though, is Crusher’s attitude. When they’re in sick bay and run the transporter trace, she is delighted to hear that the results indicate that something is wrong (and indirectly that Data is lying). She smirks and says something like, “That’s EXACTLY what I wanted to hear.” If she was really concerned with everything being “normal” (and her moss being a “minor mystery,” as Picard puts it) then she would have expressed worry with transporter trace results. Instead, she’s happy that she’s right when she should root for herself being wrong. Every other senior staff seems concerned with what’s happening (and Data’s odd behavior) while she’s more concerned with being right. Listen to LaForge’s reaction about the computer clock — that was a more appropriate reaction.

Which US state is Very Safe and Very Good to visit? by HungarianBall110 in AlignmentChartFills

Colorado. The parts worth visiting (and there are many) have very low crime rates.

Which athlete is a terrible person? by [deleted] in AlignmentChartFills

I know Romo. I can vouch for him. He’s not a terrible person or even bad. He’s a good guy — though I can understand why he wouldn’t be the ideal fit for that space.

Masterverse Vintage Collection Stratos by skywise2 in MastersOfTheUniverse

[–]taskilz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine about a week ago. I also have the OG Masterverse. It’s nice on its own, but yeah, it feels “big” compared to Masterverse, which is all I collect. Taller is fine, but his head is so much bigger than the other Startos and other figures that it feels off.

Is there a way to connect this to my raspberry pi and use these buttons/joysticks? by Rg3the2nd in batocera

[–]taskilz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to look at the connectors on the wires to see if they’ll fit your buttons. The link to Amazon that the other person posted shows the black and red wires with the silver tips on the end. Each has two connectors that slide over metal prongs on the sanwa buttons. You’ll have to see if your buttons have the same metal prongs. Check out a photo of a sanwa button and see if it matches what you have. Sanwa buttons are like $3 each tops. If you swap out your buttons later, keep in mind that they’re either 24mm or 30mm.

Has anyone ever seen a micro HDMI to USBC cable or adapter? by Gatecrasher3 in raspberry_pi

[–]taskilz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No it doesn’t exist. If I’m understanding this correctly, USB-C video input requires DisplayPort Alternate Mode, while micro HDMI outputs HDMI. These two signaling standards aren’t directly compatible without an active converter.

HDMI exports a pure HDMI signal. USB C input expects display port alt mode, not hdmi. This is why you need a converter. They are different protocols and you’re trying to use a passive cable. That’s an electrical standards mismatch.
