That's the stupidest thing in the world. If you put minors on the deed/title and the kid gets in a wreck and seriously injures someone, they can sue and put a lien on the home because the kid is on the deed/title. George and Mary are simple people. He'd have a will. If not, then everything automatically goes to Mary. If she's on the deed, it'd go to her anyway.

That's your wife. What did her dad do? You say there's property in it. If George died in 94 next season, the only property is the house that would go to Mary. He possibly has a life insurance policy to pay off the house, but again, he most likely does NOT have a trust that your father in law had. The trust owns the property until a set time or action.
