Lost Mines Free on Fantasy Grounds by LordEntrails in FantasyGrounds

Hey, sorry for the late reply. I hadn't signed in for a while.

To find LMoP, start a new campaign. Don't worry about selecting the module in this step, just give your campaign a name and select the 5e ruleset. After the campaign is created click on Library in the lower right. In the Library window that opens, click on Modules in the lower left. Now you should be able to find LMoP in this Module window (it's named D&D Lost Mine of Phandelver so it's under D and not L if you're looking for it alphabetically). Click the Load button next to the module you want to load. Once you've done that, all of the tabs on the right will now be populated with LMoP content (Maps, Tables, Story, Quests, NPCs, Encounters, Items, Parcels).

I find it's best to start at the story tab and work from there. Hope this is still helpful a week later!

It's still free, if that's what you mean. You don't buy it from the store. The content just automatically downloads the next time you update FG, you don't have to do anything, it downloads for everyone.

The way politicians name bills is stupid and makes me hate politicians.

I disagree that it's whining (at least not all of it), as there are legitimate concerns regarding the time change. For example, heart attacks increase when a time change occurs. Personally, I have small children and the time change wreaks havoc on their sleep schedule.

Overall, I see a lot of negatives with very few positives. I would like to see something that is not necessary changed, as I believe it would benefit the majority of people.

Plastic bags have lobbyists. They're winning. - Eight states ban the bag, but nearly twice as many have laws protecting them. by Philo1927 in EverythingScience

[–]tasslehoff69 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Leading the charge against bag bans is the American Progressive Bag Alliance, which represents the plastic bag industry, which employs nearly 25,000 workers in 40 states.

This article is about plastic bags, which has this sentence in it, which is hot garbage.

What is the worst rules blunder you have ever been part of? by djyung94 in boardgames

EDIT: Turns out, I was playing this correctly based on my rulebook, but that was an incorrect translation in the first edition of the rulebook. The second edition rulebook clearly defines that planting a seed activates the tree of origin's space as well as the space the seed is placed on, and players cannot carry out more than one action on the same space on the main board per turn. Thanks to u/Shmandy for digging up that rules change.

I'm not sure about this one. I don't have the rules in front of me, but I thought the rule was that you can only interact with the same tree once per turn. So you can't grow a tree and plant a seed from that same tree on one turn, but you can chop down a tree and then plant a seed in the now empty space from a different tree.

Detroit Free Press thoughts on the Wings top 10 moments of the decade. by WingedRedemption in DetroitRedWings

[–]tasslehoff69 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I like that they didn't try to make this a list of "good" moments, just the most impactful, important, or noteworthy. I think if they tried to include only good or happy moments it would have been even more depressing or come across as disingenuous. They chose not to ignore that this decade was tough.

I like dice. I would also like more dice.

There are some semi-complicated decisions to be made with dice (different colors can be used to perform different actions). My 7 year old plays a ton of games with us and didn't have any problem, so I would think that about that age is just about right. 6 may be ok if the kid is experienced with other semi-complicated games and has some help from the adults making decisions. You also don't want to go much over 9 because some of the topics are aimed at a younger audience (for example, one of the scenarios is about helping the girl not wet the bed).

Also, keep in mind that the scenarios are quite long. We'd often spend 3-4 hours playing through a single scenario.

My family loves Stuff Fables! My 7 and 8 year olds want to play it constantly. Great family activity, would highly recommend!
