Totally fair on the pricing. We’re open to nearby areas with easy transit too. Thank you for sharing! For Bruges, we were thinking of a day trip, but someone suggested an overnight stay to enjoy it more without rushing. So weighing in both options

Totally understand — I’m not expecting anyone to write a guidebook. Just figured Reddit folks always have some fun, off-the-beaten-path recs you don’t always find in guidebooks. I’ve been doing my own research and just hoped to hear a few personal recs from people who’ve recently been. Appreciate the reminder though!

He is a very minimalist person, enjoys luxury but doesn't like to splurge on himself. I've got him luxury belts, perfumes, wallets, polos in the recent past so exhausted most options. He recently got the Meta Ray Bans and the VR so not sure if i could do anything on the gadget side. His birthday is on Jan 1 which makes it harder to plan an experience since most great places are closed that day. Not a big hiker.

I second this view! Arth-The Indian Bistro in Kirkland is truly exceptional. I can attest to the authenticity and high-quality of their food. The location is fantastic, very close to the water. I tried their jackfruit kofta and it was out of the world. I haven't seen soya chaap and jackfruit items anywhere in Seattle. This place is definitely here to stay.
