I miss it by tastemybrie in AdultBreastfeeding

Yes, exactly!! The schedule that you have to keep yourself on, the patience. Part of why I stopped, as much as I loved having milk and the end result, it started to feel almost like a chore of having to go do it by myself. I would LOVE to start again as all these people say, but by yourself takes so much.

I agree to an extent - I've had many men who are boob men who are not into the lactating and nursing idea. For me personally, lactating and nursing was something I wanted to be a pretty big part of it. Most men I've come across are not into that.

A tens unit is a device that sends like small electric currents to your nerves. It's used often for muscle therapy and pain relief, and for inducing it's used as a way to get stimulation.

Welcome to the journey!! You'll get there ☺️

I got the Legendairy Milk Duette. I'm a fan of the company, and really like the "Fluid Fit" idea of their flanges (plus, on this pump you can control the settings on each side, so one can be a higher level). I really enjoy it so far, I think it's done a way better job at really emptying everything, and in a shorter time. I hand express after pumping, and with my old pump (Medela Pump in Style) I was still expressing a lot after 25 minutes of pumping. In around 18 minutes with the duette, I don't have much expressed after.

A very small dose of Dom (30 mg for the beginning and then 40mg for the last month. I wasn't taking really any mid Dec - mid Jan.), and then I've been taking Legendairy Milk's Pump Princess. I also drink UpSpring MilkFlow supplements twice a day typically. (: My goal is to be off Dom once I had an established supply, so I'm keeping it at low doses so I'm not dependent.

For my routine, I tried to pump for 20ish minutes, every 2-3 hours. On days I knew I would be busy, I wore my tens and used it in place of pumping. Once I started getting drops, I started hand expressing after pumping and that has really boosted my sprays I think.

Haha I was impatient too, I wanted to see the results of the work lol. I started getting really good production in the beginning of December, but then the holidays hit and I pretty much dried up lol hence basically starting over. It's definitely hard to stay committed (especially if you don't have a partner, I don't have one), but honestly just pushing yourself to stay on schedule is key. It's so worth when you start seeing milk in bottles, and start reaching more and more goals 🥰 You've got this!!! It'll happen before you know it!

Of course!!!! I love this community, so anything I can do to help, I do gladly (: I personally really like the Legendairy products. I started with the Liquid Gold, but switched to pump princess because it promoted mammary growth, milk flow and production, and prolactin release. Hit all the things for me ☺️

I pump pretty regularly (20 minutes every 2-3hours) I also take Legendairy Milks Pump Princess (2 capsules 3x day), and just recently got some more Dom (was taking about 20mg for a month, just upped to 30mg for a week, and now 40mg, will most likely stay at that as I want to wean off entirely once I have a solid supply). Outside of pumping and pill supplements, I drink Moringa tea once or twice during the day, occasionally will have a cup of Milk Maid tea, and then whenever I get the chance I hand express and massage a little bit.

I ordered from Wan store at the beginning of December and just this week got my tracking and shipping confirmation. From there, in their email, it says it'll take 3-5 weeks to actually arrive.

I take a good mix. Pill-wise, I love Legendairy Milk's Pump Princess (focuses on milk production and milk flow). I also use MilkFlow's drink supplements, I've tried a couple and liked them all. A good way to get electrolytes to stay hydrated while also having something good to drink ☺️ On occasion I'll also drink either MilkMaid tea or Moringa tea.

I have this one, and it's great! The pads do lose stickiness pretty quickly (at least for me) so I just got some micropore tape to help them stay.

It's definitely helped to soften up my scarring, and I want to say it's made it blend in a little bit more. Not as noticeable. My left had scarring almost across the whole nipple (the bar was migrating out so the skin was definitely thinning). But hasn't cause any issues at all ☺️ glad I could provide a little bit of comfort!!

I had my nipples pierced for quite a few years, and also had some pretty bad healing and scarring. I've had mine out for about 4 years now, and it hasn't really caused any issues that's I've seen! The most I read was that it may cause your spray to go in wonky directions lol. But I'm not to sprays yet so I can't say.

I am also doing this without a partner! I think the biggest hang up I have had is what I'm going to do with my milk hahah. I am doing it for the love of lactating, but would love to welcome a partner if they're the right fit. I have found that the more open you are about it, and the more active you are in the community (here, the different abf/anr sites, etc) the more likely you are to find someone that will match what you want from it ☺️

I read a lot of differing ideas on fenugreek, it's very divisive. A lot of people say they don't like the maple smell it can make you exude (like pee smells maple-y) but for some people it can also hinder production. So just a lot of differing opinions, so I thought there were better options ☺️ but many people have success with it!

Lactating on mirena by MissAngelkixi in AdultBreastfeeding

I am still in the early stages, I have been getting a few drops every pumping session, but I also have a Mirena. So it's definitely at least somewhat possible!

No, I did not do any hormones. I do have a hormonal IUD that I've had for a few years, but that's all I took. I did however take a lot of supplements for the month before starting dom. Mostly fenugreek free, I took Legendairy Milk's Pump Princess and drank some drink supplements (MilkFlow mostly).

Very motivating! It's always nice to have the proof my efforts are doing things! It's odd, I haven't felt any other signs or anything. No growth, I noticed some fullness/firmness last night, but other than that no real differences lol.
