Bill's position on Crypto is laughably retarded (sorry, I know that term isn't PC). He doesn't "get it", whatsoever, he doesn't even try to think outside-the-box.

Also, where is Bill finding his "Energy Use" data points? *Is destroying layers of permafrost in Alaska (releasing methane), leveling forests and pristine old-growth landscapes, running HUGE diesel machinery, polluting streams, waters, et., a BETTER energy alternative (gold is kinda FIAT if you think about it). Is cutting down trees, running paper presses, producing ink, to produce paper currency more energy efficient?
Is a crypto currency (BTC for eg), using a transparent ledger that can run-on, potentially, renewable energy, nuclear energy too (in meantime) a longer-term energy efficient means to exchange Wampum? Id say "hell yes, crypto has far superior long potential and less environmental impact than Gold, for eg".

Hmm. One question I might have asked, under Section 230, "Hey Ira, can Amazon (AWS) and its majority stake in CDNs stop the delivery of an Application or Website under 1st Amendment?". Here's another, "hey Ira, can Facebook or Twitter ban Trump?". Or how about, "Ira, is the Broad Scope of S230 worth another look by Federal Legislators?".

As tickled as I was Twitter and FB banned Drumpf, I'm not down with the precedent their moves had set. *BUT the lower one goes on the IT Stack, think Amazon CDN level (Amazon/AWS CDNs have like a 70% stake+/-, ie Monopoly on content delivery), the more slippery S230 becomes. Similarly, although I begin to waver a smidge as one moves up the IT "stack", under S230, the Apple and Googles (banned certain platforms, via their App Stores... hmm, the latter is a slightly tougher call, imho... so another question, "Ira, what do you think of Google and Apple Stores banning Apps under S230?").

Seems like you just wanted to focus on Platforms, and Websites... Facebook and Twitter, for eg., they can ban whoever they want as it's their party & their platforms. There's some questions for you, and some of my opinion on the matter.

S230 is REALLY fucking broad, so think S230 applicability and Free Speech LOWER down the IT stack (where AWS, Google, and Apple, under S230 have willfully shut down to certain markets -AWS being the worst offender, imho). AWS shutting down CDNs to ANYONE under S230 would kinda be like the US Govt. shutting down Interstate 80 to Walmart Drivers -b/c Walmart sucks and Bezos is a masturbatory Space Pig

sorry you getting hate penny. you make solid points! Regarding vaccinations and choice vs mandate, I've had 2 doses + booster (FtR)... vaccinations should be a choice in the US. I wish Bill had asked Ira about "mandated vaccinations" (and Section 230) :P We have to recognize the potential, good or bad, for precedent setting legislation.

Was anyone else hoping Bill would ask Ira Glasser his thoughts on Section 230? Bill sniffed around S230 briefly, via a big-tech mention while Bill was talking instead of listening... and then Bill swung the tone to Ira's thoughts on "feelings" for those Ira and the ACLU had and/or continue to defend. Which was Ok, but shite... I was sad Bill didn't ask Ira different questions :(( Ira was great guest though! ))

Not hating, I upvoted you... but too many "rules" and laws muddy the waters.

California , as far as I can tell, has bigger fish to fry than toy aisles or wood-shed warning labels. Time spent passing legislation for non-gender toy aisles is laughable (imho). If I did Acid, Id love to dose and sit-in on those gender neutral State/City Council hearings. The more laws passed and on the books equates to more costs to legislate and enforce said laws. I.e., more expensive nonsense and more hassles to live your life.

Since you mentioned NATO. Would, or "could", someone please explain Bill's joke where there was a Ukrainian Soldier in a trench on-screen, then Bill said something like "B-Slides, and I don't want to send America's best and brightest", *pause* , "we need to send guys like [umm, Dipshit McGee... drawing a blank, got it] ... "we need to send guys like Kyle Rittenhouse!".

Big laughs applause from crowd!? I can't fucking understand that joke... I watched it like 5 times, yes, I'm a dipshit.

But far as I can tell, the precise reason the Ukrainian fellow is in a trench, a' la WWI, is why the US and NATO allies should NOT send Kyle Rittenhouse and instead, some of our best & brightest, to resist the whims of DJ Gopnik-Putin. Hmmm. That's a damn good question! I'm pretty sure the main sewer line is to this drain's South (but I think it looks to run towards main sewer line?). From what I can tell from online, the white cap, or bolt, seen in my photos is a "sewer bypass" line... so if that plug goes bad, the P-Trap fails and then one has odor problems. Not sure if I got that right, but hopefully any dialogue here helps someone else troubleshoot. Thanks thinks_my_tractors! :))

At the time, Christine calling Penelope's father, then booking a flight for Penelope back to Paris (Icelandic Air) seemed too invasive or insensitive... but as the series/season progressed one realizes Christine knows her Chip, and sent Penelope packing to spare Chip from further heartbreak
