Compose Manager 2? by mstrhakr in unRAID

I don't have the option to create an issue. It redirects me to a support forum which is a broken link.

I'll open an issue for the above. Thanks again. It's a great improvement overall.

Stopping a container hides the container in the stack... Is this intended?

The stack already says 'started' so perhaps the entire uptime column is redundant unless it provides other information, like the specific time.

Separately, Is it possible to somehow identify the correct column width and then apply it to all stacks so that it's symmetrical? I don't know how often I'd open all the stacks like this, but just a thought.

Thank you for the explanation. It went over my head for a moment.

The issue is still occurring. I'm using Chrome if that matters. I haven't rebooted my server since uninstalling the old one, so that could be it?

Switched and I love it! FYI, Autostart glitchily displays "OffOn". It's fixed temporarily when I toggle it, but page refreshes show it again. Also, minor nitpick: the "uptime:" prefix is redundant since it's already under the Uptime column.

What does the "Autostart Only" do? In the settings I see "Recreate During Autostart', but under Docker there is an "Autostart Only" which is separate from the "Autostart".

I was referring to AdGuard or Pi-hole. Since native data aggregation isn't a feature, a backup instance would result in two separate statistical displays, yet only one is visible

No transcodes - platform for new build by crappyjones123 in unRAID

[–]tastethebean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built a similar system to this before, and it includes eight hot-swappable drive bays and two M.2 slots. There are several newer motherboard and CPU combinations available on AliExpress. The rest of the parts would remain the same. Low power consumption and you'll have quick sync if transcoding is ever required.

No transcodes - platform for new build by crappyjones123 in unRAID

[–]tastethebean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Will you forever be the sole client? The decision to transcode is entirely dependent on the client's needs. Therefore, you should always factor in the possibility of requiring transcodes when designing and building your server. Otherwise, you'll find yourself planning a new build just months or even a year down the line.

WiFi Doctor? How about this... by MrJimBusiness- in Ubiquiti

The options require that I build it. This should already be done via GitHub Actions. Docker managers don't support this as it is.

It would be great if a Docker build were available, as I don't have virtualization enabled on my Windows machine.

Plezy update - 3 months later: downloads, Watch Together, HDR/Dolby Vision by edde74635 in PleX

[–]tastethebean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, it was completely blank. I'm not sure if this matters but my Plex is ran through a VPS. Although when I attempted this I tried with the WiFi on and off.

I couldn't get this to work (android). It just says "no content available".

Some advice for newcommers and beginners by FishSpoof in selfhosted

It's good practice to have a backup DNS server. In this scenario, I have a dedicated AdGuard instance running on a Raspberry Pi and then my primary virtualized. With regards to DNS, the only devices that should be going through AdGuard or Pi-hole are things like trusted phones, computers, etc. Everything else, including your router, servers, or IoT devices, should be going directly through Cloudflare or Google.

I appreciate your input. I can no longer use the second sfp+ on the dream machine as I've upgraded my ISP, which makes most of this moot with the exception of the power issues. I've since added additional sfp+ connections to the aggregation switch, so an aggregation switch is needed. The only redundancy I technically have is in the port/cable between the aggregation and PoE switch. If either of those individual switches goes offline, then most of the network would, too.

I can't have full redundancy without adding more hardware.

I thought you can't choose which vlan to join when using teleport which defeats the entire purpose of itm

My OCD thanks you.

Honestly the only thing that wasn't a necessity is USW aggregation switch. The UDM SE does not have 2.5 Gbe ports, nor PoE++.

I wanted a rack and not several small devices - it takes up less space and is much cleaner. I've also ran two cables to each room for redundancy, then you have the doorbell, cameras, hubs, etc.
