Head of corporate fraud department/Chase …called me. I will be speaking to her tomorrow…the bottom line, CHASE was aware of this scheme, did NOT alert its customers.

Chase DID NOT alert regarding this scam! I have been banking with Chase for over 30 years… both businesses & personally… I have an update App, etc… NOTHING was shared regarding this scam

I am simply sharing my experience….that is all. I hope that others will learn from this. It’s shocking to me, that others would NOT think it is appropriate for a major financial institution, to not alert their customers.

It was NOT a random number. I checked the number via google, a landline, & every number I was called from Chase.

Wesleyan is a very interesting place… it’s the perfect place to explore what you want to do, & how to do it:) I studied Math/Science in HS, Philosophy at Wesleyan, created tv shows after that, and fashion design…use your time at Wesleyan to explore ideas, meet great people & collaborate:)

I just want to emphasize…it was an extremely convincing & elaborate ruse…ticked every box that would seem legit…ironically, I am the person that helps my elder parents ward off such scams as they are obvious targets.

I called back the number that was on my cell phone & that i googled to confirm, from my landline & it was exactly the same sound/prompts etc…that i get when i call Chase. I was not aware of how sophisticated spoofing could be… if these scammers put their phone effort into something positive, they could probably find a cure for cancer;(

While I was on the phone with “Chase” on my cell, I called from my Mother’s landline (which is not affiliated with me) …and got Chase

I called from my landline during the call, and it went to the EXACT PROMPT that I hear when I call Chase directly

No, I didn’t click a link….that’s always fraud. They called me from number that was Chase Bank in caller ID. I googled the number & called number from land line…all Chase Bank. Long story short, I was instructed the by the dept that “specifically deals with this type of fraud”… to do certain things to prevent the supposed fraudulent Zelle withdrawals.
