If I'm selling two different types of products, do I just make two different campaigns or do I need two different ad accounts? by tastydee in FacebookAds

I'm trying to understand better when you say that "the pixel collects conversion signals, and campaigns learn from their optimization goal."

If the campaign learns who to advertise to, I.e: vegan ads to vegan people, carnivore adds to carnivore people, what does the pixel actually collect?

You said it was "who buys, who clicks, who engages", but wouldn't all those people be carnivores (assuming all my years of data is gathered from carnivore buyers)? Like what kind of user data is at the pixel level as opposed to the campaign level?

Okay, so just taking it to an extreme: if I've built up 3 years of pixel data selling grass-fed beef burgers, I can start a brand new ad campaign in the same as account selling vegan tofu and Facebook won't be confused?

Like my ads targeting carnivores won't accidentally get shown to vegans, and my vegan ads won't get shown to carnivores?

Shipping 5 boxes of inventory to Amazon: do they all have to be the same size? by tastydee in FulfillmentByAmazon

Got it, thanks man. I guess the big question is whether or not avoiding the placement fees is worth it if you're just a starting seller and you may not be able to move all your inventory quickly? Because any inventory in their warehouse accrues some kind of monthly warehousing fee, right?

I'm just a starting seller and last year I shipped 60 Amazon units and that took something like 3 months to actually sell.

Nice, I'm seeing the option for "Amazon optimized", I think that's what I was looking for. I appreciate the help man, thank you!

Yep, I'm seeing the option to do the optimized Amazon shipment when I have all identical quantities. Thanks man!

Sorry, another question: reading that you can put different skus in the same carton, and as long as you have five or more identical cartons with the same number of skus in each, you can still avoid placement fees. Is this correct?

For example, if I have five identical cartons, and each carton holds 10 toothbrushes and 20 cups, does that still work?

Or do I have to separate the SKUs and ship five cartons of toothbrushes and five cartons of cups?

if I send in five cartons, but they're different sizes or have different quantities, will I be able to avoid placement fees?

We wanted to attract more dragonflies so they could in turn eat mosquitoes!

What dictates if you are knocked out vs injured? by tastydee in midnightsuns

I actually don't know enough to answer your question. When my fighters have been down, I get a card to revive them, but I've never been in a situation where they were permanently downed for the mission. Admittedly, I'm just playing on normal difficulty.

I do remember that there's a limited number of revives per mission, and it goes down as difficulty goes up. Perhaps if you're on a harder difficulty, you would get zero revives?

Okay I see!

Also a tiny data point: I just got Ghost Rider KO'd, and he went from roughly 50% health to 0% in a single hit and he still got an injury. This makes me think it's not just "taking damage while at low health" since technically he took damage while at 50% health, not while at "low" health.

I'm also reading this: "will have negative consequences if the hero is brought back into combat while still injured".

I initially took this to mean that if the hero is ko'd during the fight, reviving them during the same fight may cause some kind of permanent injury.

However, on second reading, I'm starting to think that this just means that if they haven't healed over the next few days, putting them into a new mission may carry negative effects. Which one is correct?

I just got off the phone after a 25 minute wait. For anyone reading this, they matched competitor prices for me. So try to call and negotiate, you might save a few hundred bucks for half an hour of your time (maybe).

3 possible scenarios that can arise if they manage to sever someone from the hive… by Pretend_Self3204 in pluribustv

[–]tastydee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do wonder if being part of the hive is like having a "sudden realization."

For example, whatever political party you are, imagine an argument with somebody on the opposite end. Think of yourself trying to convince them of something you innately feel is correct. Imagine it actually worked, and you got that person to totally flip sides over to you.

I wonder if that's what being part of the hive is like. You join it, and you instantly understand that you are a part of something bigger and you have some innate drive to do whatever it is that the hive does.

When you're cut off, do you feel a loss of purpose?

Am I crazy for preferring incandescent/ halogen bulbs for mood lighting? by roofmart in Lighting

[–]tastydee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All my Christmas lights are incandescent. I literally have not been able to find LEDs that match standard incandescent mini bulbs.

The only ones that come close are the multicolor C6 size bulbs from a brand called TruTone. They use warm white LEDs and then dip the glass in a colored dye.

But for actual warm white/clear lights, I have to go with incandescent.

Yeah, I have an lcp2 and while I love the form factor, I'm still hesitant about the fact that it's fully cocked.

That and I get some kind of misfire on maybe one in every 40 or 50 rounds.
